more likely than the rwb obsession imoThere's probably something to the idea that Perisic can also cover LW if needed
I’ve heard he’ll be back up to Forster…more likely than the rwb obsession imo
We don't need 3 LWBs.Can he though?
Oh well didn’t need 3 LWBs anyway ?
Sounds like a website for fat players. I imagine Mickey Quinn, Frank Lampard and Andy Reid featuring prominently.Looked at his YouTub highlights (I know) and he seems to be all action but I'm not sure of his quality
Confused as I didn't say we did?We don't need 3 LWBs.
I'm not even continuing this conversation.

Not watching European football and not really knowing the merits of all the players being mentioned, could Perisic possibly cover RWB as well? There's probably something to the idea that Perisic can also cover LW if needed
You didn’t read the last 5 pages, did you??Not watching European football and not really knowing the merits of all the players being mentioned, could Perisic possibly cover RWB as well?
You replied to my response about not needing a third LWB because Davies could cover at a push.Confused as I didn't say we did?
"could" certainly, but he hasn't been tested there as far as I'm aware. Not watching European football and not really knowing the merits of all the players being mentioned, could Perisic possibly cover RWB as well?

Thanks for your answer, I didn’t mean we should flip him to rwb, just could we, in an emergency, probably didn’t explain myself!"could" certainly, but he hasn't been tested there as far as I'm aware.
He's extremely "ambipedal", so in theory yeah, he might be able to do it, but theory and practice are two wholly different things.
I can't imagine we've bought a player in from a season of being one of the best LWBs in the world, at his age, with the express intent of playing him at RWB. At the same time, maybe he gets tested there if we have a deep need and he comes up trumps. Conte did experiment with Sess and Doherty as flipped WBs a couple of times this season, and his hand was also forced into playing our wing backs on their opposite flanks by injury too.
I would have faith in Perisic to do at the very least an adequate job if asked to shift from one side to the other. As you say, he’s genuinely two-footed. Add to that his exceptional levels of experience and footballing intelligence and he’d be absolutely fine shifting in to multiple positions as the need arises."could" certainly, but he hasn't been tested there as far as I'm aware.

It's an issue for Sess who would hardly see any game time. But if you can go from Reggie and Sessegnon to Sessegnon, Perisic and Kostic + £15m it's a non issue.
Indeed. With Davies being able to cover in emergencies the money would be better spent elsewhere. I think Kostic is a good player but was no longer needed once we gave Perisic a 2 year contract. We don't need 3 LWBs.

I don't want to repeat myself but with a 50+ game season coming along with 5 subs I think there would be plenty of game time for all three. Each of them have different qualities which suit different opposition and you'd expect at least two of them to play in every game. It's an issue for Sess who would hardly see any game time.
