I recall reading that it was a draw-down facility, but I can't remember where. I wouild expect it to be a draw-down facility. Development finance, long and short-term, is usually done that way, to minimise interest charges, even in times of low interest rates. Lenders generally expect it.

It’s exactly same investors as stadium and exactly same terms with chunks in trenches that don’t mature till 2034.

Shouldn’t be too long before the next set of results are out? And am I right in saying we’ll see what a full ‘full’ year in the new stadium results look like?

Last year, the results were published on 24th November. In 2020, they came out on 27th Nov.

We should not put too much hope on the financial results as we were not in the CL last season, so revenues could have been £50M+ higher than they will be. The interesting numbers will be match day revenues and stadium revenues from non-footballing events. For match day revenues, our best ever is the 18/19 season when we played at Wembley until March and finished the season at the new stadium. I'd anticipate us breaking £110M for match day revenue last year. Note that the chart below is in Euros, so that would be 125M euros, up from 92.5.

silly question - sorry. Our loan repayments for the stadium borrowing. Are we repaying capital and interest or just interest?

I can imagine our commercial revenues that are announced this time next year will have gone through the roof along with the UEFA money and we’ll post a big profit.

Will the loss be down to lack of player sales as they're all out on loan instead?

meh

People on both sides of the fence will see what they want to see and all this is the blue touch paper for another round :D

Ok, I’ll start it off then!

“We share our supporters’ frustrations at so many ‘near misses’ resulting in a lack of trophies. Over the last two decades we have been in 14 semi-finals, made it to six finals and only won one of them. It must be our hope that we are soon celebrating a trophy win. We are immensely grateful to our fans who have supported us throughout and we want nothing more than to see them rewarded for their loyalty and passion."

Do they???

Sorry, being lazy here, but if we’re making losses of that size, how do our numbers compare to other PL clubs? I would’ve expected our financials to compare favourably but I’m not hearing of other clubs reporting huge losses over the same period.

People will take away from that the things that suit their narrative, whether it's Levy and ENIC out or not. We did have an unexpected pandemic as the stadium opened, and we are only now really seeing the other entertainment and sporting shows appear regularly.

We are in a good position. The results next year will be healthy having had UCL football and other events at the ground.

I don't see anything to be too upset about.

This was the loss for that other lot up the road for May 2022 , so we are not alone ,
The loss for the year after taxation was £45.5 million (2021 – loss of £107.3 million).

Looks we have made losses over the last three financial years of £63, £83 & £50 million.
