I’m sure SC could do without a completely futile thread of hypothetical conversations ( :cautious: ) but who do you think we’ll get opening day?

An even spread of the best teams so we don't have to play them in gruelling chunks that take a lot out of the squad.

Promoted sides at home in the first half of the season, away in the second half.

And a kind run in with presumed mid table teams with nothing to play for in the last five games.

That's the Carlsberg of fixture schedules, so we'll probably get neither of those things.

A Villa at home (get the mood and tension in the dougal household early)

Guaranteed to get West Ham, Arsenal and Chelsea consecutively again. Every year. Most likely in November.

Don't we normally have the fixtures already leaked out by now...if they are officially announced tomorrow.

I'll go for the traditional first 3 fixtures a new manager gets where the first 2 are reasonably easy games and we start some early hype before being brought back to reality by the likes of Liverpool and City in the 3rd game.
