Premier League have announced that 10 PL games a season will be moved to Friday nights from 16-17 season

Personally not too on board with this seeing as their could potentially be a scenario where there is only 4 games at 3PM on a Saturday. For me, it's just football moving even further away from it's roots and losing its tradition
Hmmm.

Didn't Mourinho say he wanted this to happen?

What a coincidence.

Hope this doesn't happen. Spurs already ruin the best part of the weekend. I'd prefer it if at least Friday was protected.

Just another way for the EPL to squeeze a bit more cash out of the TV companies who'll be falling over their wallets to get it.
Surprised they haven't suggested it sooner...

I'd be more than happy for this to replace the early Saturday game. I never do anything Friday nights, so it suits me down to the ground.

Why not spread the entire weekend fixtures out over the whole week? Two TV games on Saturday, three on Sunday, then another one each day of the week. Scudamore would probably cum at the thought of that. Sky could come up with other imaginatively titled programmes such as 'Tuesday Night Football' and 'Wednesday Night Football'.

I'm sure they'd smash it out of the park.

Having said that, it would only be one less 3pm for 10 rounds.

A separate auction of rights to internet highlights clips, a package currently held by the newspaper publisher News UK, will be sold separately later.
Who is "News UK?" Google just brings up UK news results.

I don't see the problem. Tradition notwithstanding, but I'm not a huge fan of most things labelled 'tradition'

At school we had to swim 2 lengths of the pool every morning at 6.10am. Naked. "Tradition" wtf

Do you know what they have to do with online PL rights?
"The UK Near-Live Clips Package comprises rights to make available audio‑visual clips of all 380 Barclays Premier League matches on the internet and on mobile devices. The package includes the rights to broadcast in-game clips for all matches other than 3pm Saturday kick-offs and extended clips of all matches on a Monday morning following a weekend match round."
