and what exactly did bale do in his last season when Ronaldo was not there? i worry his to injury prone and wont give us enough. Would he be like going back to an ex-girlfriend ? the short term it is amazing and the sex is great but before to long, it ends badly? do we need to use our heads and not our hearts with Bale?

p.s He was amazing for us but i worry we saw the best bale seasons, yes he does turn up in the big games and make the difference but will he be fit?

I wouldn't worry too much as he won't be signing for us anyway

Bale has been done in by a ridiculous PR job by Real to push out this image of a lazy, overpaid player and their millions of fans worldwide have bought it because he’s had a lot of injuries. The Real fanbase have to be some of the most spoilt lot, the list of players they’ve booed is essentially a who’s who of football history ?. I hope Gareth’s personal life hasn’t been affected by that club’s smear campaign to be honest

Bale is hardly the Galactico type. I think he would knuckle down and adapt to a Poch system. It’s more a question of whether the physicality of the modern gam, especially the pace of the PL, has passed him by. His body is a lot more fragile. Christ he was amazing in that last season with us; would he ever hit those heights again?

4:51 onwards

Amazing how a single well written post can influence so many (and it was very well written)
Im no more convinced now then I was yesterday that Bale will come back. I'd love him, but can't see it.
However, IF, he ends up taking a £200k a week pay cut to join us, you couldn't question his desire to play football.

I know- it wasn’t dissimilar to when Bob Dylan went electric and was called Judas by members of his hitherto loyal fan base when he launched into a rendition of Baleid of a Thin Man to an unsuspecting audience at Manchester Free Trade Hall in 1966. Absolute carnage from a previously devoted fan base

If you don’t get this joke, you’re clearly spending your time engrossed in lashings of non-virgin activities

The same sort of carnage happened when it appeared Robbie Robertson and Martin Scorsese split the money from The Band’s Last Waltz appearance between just them, leaving the other members broke and in the gutter... Turns out it may have been the other members who signed over all their musical rights to Robbie, so they could get a quick fix at that moment in time.. Who knows for sure? Moral of the story? Dont hang around with Bob Dylan. Haha

I washed my hands of him when he kissed the Madrid badge on his unveiling.
Gosh, thank you for reminding me of that

Also him going to Madrid in a bright pink Simon-from-the-inbetweeners t shirt is etched into my memory

Honestly that's the only way I remember him. On strike from training, demanding a move to Madrid, wearing this:
