Inter agree personal terms with Hellas Verona CB Marash Kumbulla, and a deal is close between the clubs. I think we were linked with him earlier on in the season iirc. More importantly, this could impact skriniar, and maybe this is pointing towards a skriniar-ndombele swap? Anyways, kumbulla is a young, aggressive defender who is a threat from corners and free kicks. A little lightweight and thin, but he will grow into his body with age. An accurate long passer and precise with his tackles. Impressed mightily for a Hellas Verona team who were tipped to go straight back down to serie b. Very similar profile to skriniar when he was signed from sampdoria, and he has been a massive success.

I still don't know why Inter wants Ndombele when they are closing Tonali at the same time :D

It is reported that James Rodriguez will be available for just £7.7 million this summer. A massive discount considering last time he was reportedly available, clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool were told to pay around £35-40m for him.

No thanks. Very overrated and on big bucks. 29 now and looking for a final big payday. Managed 13 appearances last season for 1 goal and 2 assists.

Sheffield United have a bid of £18.5 million accepted for Ramsdale by Bournemouth. (according to Sky among other outlets.)

I know we were looking at getting a backup jeep that’s homegrown. Butland is available for £8m. That sounds more reasonable. Or just promote one of our own kids?

Butland's career has gone to bits since Stoke went down. He's made more mistakes in two Championship seasons than he had in his whole career previously. Doesn't seem a strong enough character.

Good signing. Ramsdale showed a lot of promise in the first half of the season and don't forget he had to make the step up from League One (was loaned to Wimbledon the previous season). He could become a very good keeper.
Henderson going back to Man Utd then and De Gea probably off to Atletico and Oblak to Chelsea :shifty:
But yeah if this chain were to happen that would be bad.

Yes, but it can only happen if they get rid of Kepa, where is he going?

Will only be able to loan him to Spain as noone will pay what they want.

Liverpool's midfield three will be ordinary no more.

Fantastic player.

We've been hearing about this for ever, just like Havertz.

The reality is that Pool will have to sell someone, they already have at least 7 for 3 slots including Jones. Henderson/Milner still have 2/3 years left on contracts.

Thiago is a ready made player that will go straight into the team, it doesn't matter who drops out because he improves your midfield and team overall.

Havertz is very talented but he's much younger and I'm not convinced that Chelsea is a good fit for him.

Keita will be next out the door, arguably the biggest flop of the Klopp era. Lallana's already gone.

Thiago, Henderson, Fabinho as starters with Milner, Wijnaldum and Oxlade as backup, and if youngsters like Jones excel then Ox is in danger of being cut too.
