In fairness I'd way rather be in the financial and club running situation we're in than the absolute shitshow Arsenal is and is further sliding into.

Sort of agree with you. Kia is fleecing them with huge fees but they are getting them as a result.

There’s allegedly some sort of clause that enables him to leave for free, no idea on the stipulations. Doesn’t seem like any of the Italian league could afford the wages though, as you say - especially with Juve looking like they have to offload people.
This maybe a stupid idea but surely every major club in the world could afford Messi, as he will bring in so much commercial money and sponsors

According to Deloitte if we cant afford him then only 6 other teams can...
I get that, but my point is that Messi doesn't fit with any clubs wage structure but he's such an exceptional player and commercial entity, he pays for himself.

For example Rooney, plays for Derby but half his wages(70k) are covered by bet32.

Some recent FA Cup wins have massively been papering over the fact that they’ve been on a very steady decline as a club on a whole.

Their recent signings and overall club structure should be much more alarming to their supporters than it appears to be.

They won’t get anywhere near 100 million for him with only a year left and the big clubs knowing that.
He might be a relatively low transfer fee, but will be close to £1 million per week wages.
He would struggle in England and Germany, so it's France or Italy I reckon. Unlike Ronaldo he hasnt got experience with adjusting to a new league and has usually been disappoing for Argentina. He will opt for nice and easy.

He’s the best player in football history. He’d light it up wherever he is.

David Silva joined Real Sociedad

The way Sky have been going on for the last 6 months I thought he was winding down from top flight football when it appears he’s doing the opposite.

On a side note if Foden doesn’t get to start the majority of premier league games now he never will and should leave Man City. He’s so good.

In a league where Danny Ings scored 22 goals for a mid table side, I'm pretty confident that Messi would do ok, especially if he goes to Man City who create chances for fun.

It seems I have offended SC's collective mother. It is just my opinion. Messi is not the youngster he was, and we saw him struggle against an aggressive pressing defense last week. Most teams in the Prem would not only target him but virtually cordon him off from the rest of the pitch. All Im saying is that he has virtually zero experience with football outside of Spain (on a regular basis obviously) will struggle in fast and aggressive leagues such as the prem or Bundesliga. He's only ever played elite clubs from those leagues. We all know the rest ain't as rosy.
