An annual wage of £18.2m is one hell of a motivator. He's coming towards the end of his career so might as well get one last big payday.

Yep and they’ve offered him a four year + 1 year contract on mega wages. He had one big move left in his career, United just gave him a winning lottery ticket. 300k p/w until the age of 35 is crazy. He’s definitely not moved for sporting reasons.

You have to wonder just how motivated he will be

Foyth close to joining Barcelona, according to Gérard Romero. A player we should have never sold.
I think if he hadn't got injured just before the 18/19 season started when Poch had him lined up as our first choice RB, things could've been very different.

Very talented player but also one of the biggest liabilities I've ever seen so was never going to be trusted in a struggling side under Jose. Made sense to sell him when we did and hopefully we get a sell-on fee if he goes to Barca.

He doesn't need to explain his motivations to anyone, he won eighteen titles at Real Madrid, its OK to allow yourself to be swayed by a massive contract.

He'll improve the team with his qualities but it won't be enough until the rest of the team has balance.

JM binned him after 1 mistake when he'd been doing pretty well. Dreadful decision imo. He did make mistakes but he was young and inexperienced. Now he's been given a decent chance his potential has come through but Mourinho had no patience. Our loss.

I thought he would've been snapped up as soon as Watford went down (the first time) tbh, he always looked quality.

Will Watford have any players left after all these sales ? And as with the barcodes several years ago why did they go down if they had so many players PL sides wanted ?

Yeah, the Pozzo family will likely loan players from Udinese or Granada (clubs they own) to Watford to balance out their numbers.

Really hope Arsenal don’t get Neto. Really like him as a player. I’m sure Wolves won’t sell tho.

I know that, ultimately, it'll be up to Mendes where he goes – and for how much – but it wouldn't make a lot of sense. Sure, he'd move to a bigger club, but he'd be competing with their golden child for starts. He's in a talented team at the moment, playing every week. Wolves is surely the best place for him as he gets back on track following his injury. He'll have more opportunities for the big move.
