Hi All,

Hope someone can help. I am off to the shaktar game tommorow, and wondering where is the best place to park / get train from? I usually get the train from Cambridge when i go to the Lane, but due to time, and possibilities of extra time and penalties, i dont fancy that midweek.

SO.... where do i park? Was thinking of Cheshunt, but dont really know the area at all. Is there anywhere near the ground that you can park? That is likely to have spaces, i reckon i'll be hitting london M11 or A10 bount, at about 5pm so quite early. HELP! cheers!

PS.. i am taking a football virgin, so for her sake, i hope its a good game and atmosphere.. and hopefully we can do them. come on the YIDS!

From Cambridge, park just off the North Circular, in a road called Cavendish road. It's about 20 minute walk, over the motorway on the bridge, and then to the ground the other side, but it allows for you to get straight out, and not get caught in traffic.

1.Head southwest on A603/Gonville Pl Continue to follow A603
0.5 mi
2.At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A603/Trumpington Rd Continue to follow Trumpington Rd
1.3 mi
3.Continue on A1309/High St Continue to follow A1309
1.5 mi
4.At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the M11 ramp to London0.3 mi
5.Merge onto M1142.8 mi
6.Take the N Circular/A406 (W) exit toward A10/A12/A13/A1/A5030.7 mi
7.Merge onto A406/N Circular Rd3.8 mi
8.Take the exit toward A1055/Tottenham0.1 mi
9.Merge onto Angel Rd (North Circular Road)0.2 mi
10.Continue on Montagu Rd207 ft
11.Turn right to stay on Montagu Rd148 ft
12.Turn left at Cavendish Rd Destination will be on the right
299 ft

I tend to park on Risley Avenue, off the A10 as this part isn't in the CPZ. If you put Risley Avenue in google maps, you will see. I try and get as close to the A10 end as possible. Always easy to get away from

You could try the streets south of Lansdowne Road, but parking spaces are few and far between at the best of times. And don't take a chance on parking in the CPZ. You might get away with it, but there are wardens about and fines are pretty hefty. Northumberland Park School and the Catholic primary school opposite the Lane are open for parking (about a tenner, I think), but get there early.

Parking at Cheshunt/Broxbourne/Waltham Cross and getting the train to Northumberland Park is pretty straightforward.

Hospital is only £3.50 and a five minute walk. There are roads around there you can park for free, but you'd have to get there early ish. Personally think for a few quid the hospital is a bit more secure.

I got a £60.00 parking ticket there. Used to park there every game.
Anybody else park there now? Maybe they are no longer patrolling?

If you get any more tickets on private land, just tear them up and forget about them, they aren't worth the paper they are written on. Tesco (or whatever company thay have contracted) have no more right to fine you than I do, they are merely invoices, so just ignore them.

I'm not sure of the legal validity of Tesco parking 'fines' either. Maybe Stoof or one of our other resident legal eagles could advise. I don't see how they're enforceable—surely they're relying on the threat.

Of course, if they have clampers at work you are in the shit.
