I don't know if this has ever been posted here so thought I would. Now to save you guys what happened to me click, 'captions' on the video and turn subtitles on.

I do not speak Portuguese and somehow managed to watch for 3 minutes intently trying to somehow understand them. Around 3 minutes Sandro touches the Spurs crest and smiles, and so I couldn't go any longer and wanted to know what he was saying. I scrolled down into the comments section to see if anyone had translated that bit into English when I read that you could put on subtitles. Turns out he was just talking about a Brazilian restaurant which I have now noted .

3 things. Paulinho is pronounced Pauline, Gomes seems quite confident on the mic and can anyone translate the whole 'sun in a suitcase'. I'm sure it's a Brazilian idiom but is there an English verson they can relate it to? I don't really get it

Enjoy

Just finished watching all of it. The quiz is funny, Gomes doesn't know who had the child lol

Try turning on the translation feature, it's not very good of course. But it gives you a general idea of what they are talking about. So far it's been mostly about London as a city, where to eat, the sights etc.:)

Lmao, this is brilliant, great find and thanks for posting.

I think the "sun in a suitcase" idiom you refer to isn't really an idiom but rather a literal thing...The weather in the UK is getting bad now that it is winter, but for the few months Paulinho has been there (summer/fall) it's been better so they say Paulinho brought the sun with him from Brazil (where it is always sunny) in his suitcase. Just a joke. That's why they say when he comes back from Brazil duty (they play in Brazil soon) he has to make sure to bring 6 or 7 this time to last for the winter.

Gomes seems like a very mature/smart guy, very composed with the mic too. Glad he's still here, I know he and Sandro are really really close.

When I saw the title I thought to myself, "wow Gomes is actually doing something for us", but then I saw that it was for another producer and not Spurs TV!

All joking aside, but is Friedel really a better keeper than Gomes??

I know Gomes chucked a few in but was also capable of some unbelievable saves. All keepers make mistakes, both Friedel and Lloris have made a few already this season.

Gomes' biggest mistake was making one so early in his time at the club. Had he not made any gaffes for the first half of a season I seriously doubt he'd have had as big a backlash against him. Once the media had gotten it into their heads that he was a "clown" though, that was pretty much it. The wankers.

I guess with Friedel you usually know what you're going to get. Gomes is a bit more unpredictable, which isn't a trait you generally want in a goalkeeper.

As far as goalkeeping ability goes though, I think Gomes is better.

I think Gomes is actually a more like for like replacement for Lloris than Friedel. He makes his mind up early like Lloris does but unfortunately the big downfall is that he lacks the mental toughness that Lloris has. The defenders know he will come for the ball but not that he will necessarily get to it. As far as shot stopping goes though he is good, certainly more athletic than Friedel as you'd expect considering the ages. He did let some shots go straight through him at times though which I think comes down to the mental weakness.

It's great to see the Brazilians getting along. It must help a great deal to have fellow countrymen around to help settle. Out of all our signings I think Paulinho and Chiriches have settled quickest.
