Hi, going over to a few home games between now and the end of the season, i would have normally stayed in the Megaro Hotel in Kings cross, but because im going to the four matches in the space of six weeks, staying in the Megaro is out of the question for each visit each night its aorund £160-£180 per night. Is there any other decent hotels around the Kings Cross area that anyone knows of on a lesser budget?

Why limit yourself to Kings X? Grange Tower Bridge 5 star for £130. Stayed there for Bolton, excellent value.

Stayed here when working weekends. It is excellent. Don't cofuse it with Grange tower hill round the corner, it's the newer of the two

Holtwhites in Enfield? It's a 20-minute walk to Enfield Town station and then a 10-minute train ride to White Hart Lane.

I fly over to loads of games on my own and would normally stay at Club Quarters, Gracechurch. It is a brilliant hotel, great value and only 5 minute walk from liverpool street station. Think it costs around 100-110 a night. If i'm going over with a group we would stay at the hilton metropole which is more expensive but also a really nice hotel.

The YCA hostels in london are actually a good shout as well if you want something cheap and cheerful. A lot of people rule out hostels because they don't like sharing with strangers but for £25-£30 a night it's really good. I would prob stay there if i was going over 4 times over a 6 week period. London is expensive enough without forking out 100s of pounds on hotels.

looks decent, wouldn't pay more than £100 a night to stay anywhere, lots of bargains about on the likes of laterooms, and I cannot see why you would want to stay near Kings Cross either.

If you're not bothered about location (and seeing as you currently stay near Kings X, I'll guess that's the case!), I'd recommend a "Secret Rooms" offer from laterooms.com. They're all 4 or 5 star hotels with 50%+ discounts, and you only find out the name of the hotel after it's booked. Last time I booked I got a room in the 5* Chancery Court on High Holborn for something like £130 a night.

As I've said in another thread I would look no further than 'IBIS London City' at Aldgate East £68

It's next door to the tube (1 stop to Liv St or 10 mins walk) - 15 mins train to WHL

5 mins walk from the Gherkin and Brick Lane and about 15 to Tower Bridge
