Tottenham Hotspur had a good, but not fantastic transfer window.

It never fails to amuse me that people write for these pseudo news outlets, but fail to research their articles. HITC had Dell Ali as returning from loan at MK Dons in another article and fail to mention him here.

Dier moving to midfield has been worked on all summer and I bet we see him there more and more. A la King. Eventually he may go back and if we get a dedicated dm then perhaps. However there is a real dearth of effective English dms at the moment and I reckon he might see a future in this role.

Kane, Son , N'jie and Chadli are all forwards. They rotate around the fields often it is sometimes difficult to see the structure. Poch wants this as he stated earlier. "Fluidity".

We are fine. It was a really good window. I hope everyone calms down now and looks to see what can be made from this young and developing squad.

and that extra signing is a level-up CM of the quality we hoped Paulinho would provide us

Not a disaster by any means. We kept Lloris, Kane and Eriksen while we got rid of a few players Poch seemingly doesn't want. A few more at the back should help too. Now the hard work starts for Poch. Since he joined he's not really had the squad he wanted but now that excuse has gone. This is now his squad, not Tim's or AVB's and it's time to work with it and deliver.

Disagree, it is not fine.
We only have 1 out and out striker.
To strengthen other positions on the pitch but leave yourself in that state is ridiculous and equally pointless.
It undermines any work done in other positions.
It is arguably the most important position on the pitch together with a goal keeper.
The aim of the game is to score goals, to win.
It is the hardest part of the game.
Last season other than Kane we only had 2 players who scored anything worth mentioning.
Now imagine Kane had been out for 3 months injured last season. Thats the position we've left ourselves in.
Would you go into a season with 1 goalkeeper? I know thats a bit more drastic but its not far off.
Bonkers imo and after following football for decades and being in my 40's I can pretty much guarantee that when you put yourself in these situations you will get bitten on the arse. Sods Law.
The only option imo is try and do the unthinkable and get Ade back in the mix.
Christ what a fk up.... again.

NEWS FLASH!!!!

One out-and-out striker not good enough for any Premier League Club!

News Flash

We have strengthened defense midfield and upfront from last seasons squad. A squad that finished 5th and got to a cup final. We will be fine.

And if Kane gets injured and is out for 3 months will you still be saying we're ok?
We'd be up shit creek without a paddle imo.
And even if he is fit but going through a rough patch we now have the option upfront of, ooh lets see... fucking no one.

Son, njie, lamela, chadli and even carroll can play up front. We also have coulthirst coming back from loan soon.

If kane got injured last season we'd have been fucked more than this one.

Berahino is not fucking messi, he's not going to be the difference between us winning the league and getting relegated.

If kane doesn't get a long term injury we will be fine. If he does we will deal with it.

Why are you comparing Berahino to Messi and talking about winning the league???
Its got nothing to do with how good or bad Berahino is!!!

NONE of our players you mentioned are strikers. NONE.
This is the Premier League, you can't just shove any bugger up front and hope against hope that he can do a job (a modern phrase I fkin hate btw).
Berahino is not Messi you're right there. But he's a damn sight better striker than those mentioned and way way better than our other strikers bar Kane which is... nobody
The point is we've left ourselves going into a season with just Kane.
We could have got Austin. Any striker as back up is better than no strikers.
Relying on Lamela to get us goals??Really???
Come on admit it. Its a fuck up.

Personally am torn... Clearly there's no value at the moment in the market and no decent striker should sign for us to be behind kane when we play one up front . We've signed wide forwards who can play in the centre and all going well that's perfect. But if kane gets injured and they fuck it up then everyone is going to slaughter the club...

BBC Sport's David Ornstein on Jeremy Peace

"Some at West Brom encouraged chairman Jeremy Peace to find an agreement with Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy, even within the final hour of the window, but Peace refused.

"It is also understood that at no point in this saga did Peace give Tottenham a price that might secure the player, hence the prolonged chase and multiple bids.

"There is serious concern at West Brom about the effect this will have dressing room morale, with Berahino not in a state of mind to play and not one of the more popular figures among team-mates."

Berahino has been left out of West Brom's last two Premier League games and Capital One Cup tie with Port Vale, with manager Tony Pulis saying he was not in the right frame of mind to play.
