actually the right time to sell - we need a complete rebuild anyway. we dont have european football, we dont even have a manager. we are starting over.
I’m amazed people have such confidence we will invest any money well. I’m not confident at all looking at the disaster decision making that’s going on at the top in recent times.

that may be, but whats the advantage of holding him to his contract and letting him go for nothing? next year will likely suck with or without him - look at this year. might as well cash in.

A lot of angry ex's in here turning on their girlfriend that left them for the guy with the bigger cock. It is what it is, Harry gave everything and we never got there. Good luck to him, wherever he goes.

I see some fans celebrate our cuspness of glory with great vigour, how fucking sad. When we get it in our head that being nearly isn't not good enough we might progress, Listen to the great managers and what they said, even out own, nearly isn't winning, especially now.

3 years of him scoring goals for Spurs. Anyone who thinks Kane is not going to give 100% wherever he playing is deluded I think. There is no more model professional in the game and he is going after the premier league scoring record and he CAN get it. If he stayed for 3 years because he was made to honour his contract, he isnt going to suddenly go fuck it I won’t bother trying.

Trying to rebuild in the immediate post-pandemic window is going to be a nightmare because clubs will be even less inclined to buy players we need to shift.

Trying to attract quality players at a time when we have no European football, have just sold our star player and are in a period of massive upheaval is ALSO going to be a nightmare.

This is not the right time to sell.

I'm still of the opinion that no one who Kane will want to leave for will pay what Levy will demand to be honest. Perhaps he should have thought about that before his management leaked the story (if indeed they did).

Yes. Keep him. If he sulks fine he doesnt play. If he runs down his contract fine. We'll get another 3 years of him (increasing our chances of winning somerthing) He'll be 31 and City etc would have moved on.

No player, Not even Harry Kane is bigger than Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. I love the bloke as a player but if these rumours are true he has done the club that made him what he is a huge disservice.

I agree and thats why I said im more a spurs fan than Kane fan as it were. Dont forget what happened with Eriksen - Levy wont allow Kane to run down the contract - may force him to stay for a year but dont think two or three years. Kane isnt the type to sulk we all know that but again, no point in keeping him if we are gonna have a shit bunch of players behind him as we wont win anything with JUST Kane.

The management appointment is crucial

Any time I read, "no player is bigger than the club", I agree. But, the real point is, "no owner or director is bigger than the club." They have far more power re our direction as a club. We'll also see that in our performances on the pitch, and they should be held to account even more than the players!

PEH - Good signing for next to nothing. Has been ever present in PL.
Doherty - Yeah ok I'll give you that one.
NDom - I bet like most of us you were excited when he signed.
Bergwijn - Good opportunistic signing, has time on his side to improve and is at worst a good squad player.
Reg - Had a tough 1st season but on paper was a great signing. Still can be.
Vini - Only a loan
Bale - only a loan. Arguable whether we've had value for money.
GLC - See NDom
Hart - Decent backup on half the wages of Gazzaniga + HG. Made sense.
Rodon - Not enough time to tell but the early signs were good.

I’m sorry but outside PEH I’m not convinced about any of them, so no I don’t trust recruitment at all. I dont see that list as much to celebrate other than the mediocre shite we have been served up. People thinking a Kane windfall is going to be the start of a new era, had better prepare themselves as the shit fest problems at the top are all still there . That list just represents more average ness that constantly plagues this club. So if it is being presented as some kind of reason for optimism I’ll pass.

He's had a couple shockers but i think Reguilon, playing in a confident team will be top class.

The squad is so unbalanced and the signing just dont fit into what weve needed at all. This is why I have concerns with Hitchen.

The key question is did you say this when they were signed or is this opinion the result of our clusterfuck season?

we're in for a nightmare anyway. what are you worried about if Kane leaves - not finishing 8th again? I know that may sound snarky but that's how good we are with Harry Kane.

The key question is the ability of the people making the signings.

What you mean is when we signed these players, you were not saying "Average players, don't want them". You are reacting with hindsight.

Just because you arent convinced, it doesnt mean they are bad signings.
