I’m gutted he’s going. A top 5 Spurs player in our history and homegrown too. I’m not gonna hate him for pushing a move, we’ve been a shit show for 2 years and all had given I hope under Jose. I don’t think Nuno is the right manager or will last anytime and he’s not a name to have convinced Kane we’re back on the up. This isn’t a Stephen Carr type transfer to Toon from years gone by. Kane is a top 10 player in the world and as much as it pains me and as much I wanted to see it here. He can’t go through his career scoring goals for fun, but with no silverware to show for it. I’ll love him for the memories, I’ll never boo or hate him, but he’ll be dead to me once gone.

Still can’t see how Harry fits in at City. He isn’t pressing from the front anymore, seems an odd signing for them.

Does seem that they will be changing styles in order to integrate Kane and Grealish. If he tries to make them play his current system then it might not work.

He has 96 premier league goals

Only 28 of them scored for a top side. IMO he’s more of a big fish/small pond kind of guy.
Maybe he’s evolved since leaving United, but I think he still has a lot to prove in Chelsea.

One positive to come out of all this is that the honour of being our all-time top scorer remains with a man who retains our affection and respect, and can rightly be called a legend. Cheers (Sir) Jimmy.

He had a bit of a rocky relationship with spurs in the end himself

Spot on. It’s a shame journos don’t ask the players and coaches about this kind of thing more often.

“So Harry, you must be delighted to be signing for a club who’s owners send people to prison for being gay. How do you think that matches up to you wearing a rainbow armband as England captain?”

They don't because no one wants to question how far we are intwined with countries who are essentially bigots.

I've had this discussion with City fans. Their argument is usually that I'm jealous.

Frankly, it's absurd. I've been going to spurs for over 23 years. I've seen quite a lot of dross.

Yes, I'd love us to win things, but not at an unethical cost. If the Saudis bought us, I'd sadly have to give up.

The irony that the Blue Moon looks like a homepage from the stone age of Internet. It's almost as if the fans affiliated with the club has very little to do with the on-pitch success.

True, but think I'm right in saying that kane was actively pushing for Mourinho to be appointed, no?

They both were wrong before and will be wrong in future
No ITK is guaranteed my friend but all the signs seem to point towards Kane leaving.
Plus, that's dangerous ground to be walking in the transfer threads.

Man City are essentially a sheik's knob extension.

This is actually an even better chant to sacked in the morning than my earlier effort.

”Your just a sheik's knob extension, a sheiks knob extension“.

Imagine that ringing out on Sunday, a beautiful thing.

Not wanting to de-rail, for me post Kane’s behaviour.
Players who got me off my seat.

1.Gazza
2.Hoddle
3.Klinsmann
4.Bale
5.Ginola
6.Modric
7.Kane

Kane as a pure goal machine is no.1 for me though.

Can I just ask where people stand now. If we end this season with less points than last season would you see this a massive underachievement or a building stage ready for next season?

All depends on who we bring in transfer wise

I don’t understand the Charlie digs. Yes he’s a bit of a tool but he is Harry’s agent and he has achieved a great move for him. It’s his job.

Your rage should be squarely in Harry who has played tricks, acted unprofessionally and then lied to all of us.

My love of football had died a little bit with this saga.

Kane and Grealish both seemed to represent that football throwback. One of our own. Through the ranks. Mutual love with fans.

And it was all naive bollocks - ruined by vast money from a dodgy regime.

There must be Man City fans of a certain age and experience that this doesn’t sit comfortably with either...

Hard to judge when we can't see if individuals are improving through coaching or there seems to be a coherent plan on the pitch. Ultimately though I'd be surprised if we finish on less points than last season because for all of Kane's individual exploits, having a clear system in place will most likely yield better results than one player dragging a team through a mess.
