In was disappointed with him yesterday when he lost the ball in their half he sauntered back and only picked up the pace when he realised they had a chance of scoring. An old Kane would have darted back. Heads not there maybe he does need to be dropped.Keep playing an out of sorts player can only do more damage as they will not see what everyone else can.

I don't think it's a lack of effort - I just think he fits his style to suit his game these days, and needs to be careful about running himself into the ground, because that's when his ankles go

Honestly, he's still a great player but we'll see a decline in him from here - we should have sold him, it was as clear as day

Among all the things that I'm annoyed about, not cashing in on him is right up there.

He still managed to pass our midfield in trying to retrieve the situation and was unlucky that his tackle deflected the ball back to Saka. Forwards lose the ball in the final third - it shouldn't result in a goal for the opposition!

I’m not sure Kane is to blame. We just haven’t created hardly anything from open play, hence why we are 20th for chances created. Nuno was known at wolves to not create many chances so I think it’s more down to the manager than Kane himself.

He isn't up for the fight anymore. The manager, club and hierarchy needs to be brave and drop him.
It's a really complicated situation.

I feel our best chance of scoring and looking lively in attack is to get the best out of Son and set up so that he gets into scoring positions. Within a fluid front three or 2.

The problem is after Son there isn't much scoring threat. Lucas has his moments but can't be relied upon, Bergwijn is injured but not been a scoring threat so far, Gil isn't a goalscorer and Scarlett is too young to be given that mantle. We really screwed up not bringing in another CF because it would afford us this opportunity.

I also think, if Kane realised he had competition it would spur him on. But without that he knows he's going to play week in week out and is going through the emotions.

I agree with you on this. I would also say that if us fans are so disinterested because of how things are, where we are heading, how directionless we are and how disillusioned we are then imagine the impact it has on players. Yes he is being paid a kings ransom but he is still a player playing for a club whose owners see football as secondary. That impacts on any motivation.

And I am someone who wanted him sold last summer.

There’s a bit of chicken and egg on that strikers influence the creativity by getting into the box and demanding the service. We have the ball out wide more than enough but how can we cross to a player that’s not in the area?

Don’t take this as a defence of our tactics, it’s not, we’re creating the square route of fuck all, but strikers refusing to make runs and not being willing to rough it with centre backs have been killing the creative players behind them since the beginning of time.

It is difficult to blame individuals while we have this dreadful manager.
But Kane did bring this on himself though.
In another timeline, without all Kane's nonsense this summer, we'd just put his form down to a euro hangover.

After all, he so nearly went down in history as the next bobby Moore, if it hadn't been for tottenham fan's favourite, Saka. It will take him time to refocus.

But us as fans are watching on and can do fuck all about it

He has a choice, he is the fucking England captain who is supposed to be "Mr Professional". If he was anywhere near World Class he would be trying to drag this team on.... but instead he is sulking like a little bitch who didn't get their own way.

His performances this season have had a huge effect on our situation right now, needs to be dropped to get his head right.

I think it is a messy situation more than a complicated one to be honest. It is telling that since Kane has come back into the squad we have looked considerably worse. He isn't playing for the badge anymore and he doesn't seem willing to fight. He just amples around the pitch and occasionally drops deep to attempt a Hollywood pass.

I agree that Son should be our main man up top, supported by an interchanging Moura, Bergwijn (when fit) and Gill. You're right to raise concerns about some of their goal returns, but right now Kane isn't helping us with that either.

i’d rather see scarlett up top. sure he doesn’t have a quarter of the ability harry does now, but he actually cares, and right now that’s my barometer for who should be starting.

too many mercenaries who don’t care playing every week making it hard for me to care, it’s genuinely depressing.

he should be dropped. Disgraceful performance and attitude

Yet he'll most likely be captain in the Thursday spoon while Gollini steps in for Lloris. :banghead:

I genuinely believe this summer didn't just fuck up his (so called) legacy, his move to his beloved Man City, but also the remainder of his career as an elite striker.

He looks broken in every sense & that's a very fucking difficult road to get off. I don't think Pep will remain at City beyond the end of this season, which will mean the end of their interest in him, in my opinion.

I don't want to go as far as saying he's a busted flush, but his 'efforts' so far this season are not far from that & why would any potential buyer have any interest in that?

He deserves all the shit unfolding around him after how he's shat on this club & the people who forked out good money to support and idolise him up until that Neville interview.

Fuck him!

He remains our best chance of scoring goals. We lost 25 odd goals when we released Vini and Bale. Where are we getting those back ? Dane ? Sonny ?
He has been poor but we have to get him firing to keep us from dropping further down the table. Regardless of how he feels about being at the club he has to take the responsibility to improve and we have to hope he can. If he doesn't we are going to be blunt in the PL.
