Not that it really matters who the manager is, but no chance Kane works with Poch again. I do wonder tho, what happens to Son. Will he try and leave or will stay. His stock has probably gone down after this season.

Why? Did they fall out? I thought they were still chums

He has never really impressed me playing for England.

That's more comparable with his situation at Spurs to be honest. Very similar. Same type of manager too, same system often, lack of movement around him. Has had Sterling to play with like he had Son at ours.
Imagine him up front for France or Brasil.

He will obviously be leaving this summer, and I have completely accepted that. It would be a travesty if he finished his career without any trophies.

Really a shame to see because it seems that he and Conte like each other and that it was almost heading towards a positive spin of 1. Conte getting backed 2. Conte signing on long term 3. Kane singing a new deal which most of us would be happy with.

I got flack for it on Twitter but if this season is heading towards the doom and gloom that the media is starting to predict, then I do think you have to bring in a young progressive manager and I think with that you get the value for Kane while you can and possibly even Son.

No part of me actually likes me typing that out, but if you want to accelerate a rebuild than you take what you can get and get and have a blank canvas for a new regime.

What I will say is that another Kane won't fall into our laps maybe ever again, so definitely take time to appreciate it. We've come so accustomed to just how good he is both on and off the field and we'd probably need 2-3 players to replace his output alone out there.

I remember not long ago when we slated Kane and his little agent brother on here... now he's a saint and he deserves everything... how times can change ? ... by the way... I love Kane.
But I sold my Kane-shirts when he openly flirted with City. And I'm not going to say that he's been betrayed, because we are all angry with Levy at the moment.

When Levy refused to sell Kane to City I was not disappointed... that was a brilliant move and I was proud that we stood firm.

But of course we as a club/fans deserve much more from our owners in terms of a clear strategy and investment. Not because of Kane.

The context of Son's position is a lot different to Kanes. I dont think Son will necessarily leave us purely to chase a trophy, he's climbed the mountain becoming the greatest ever Asian player, winning the puskas and golden boot and is playing centre stage in the Premier League, maintaining a superstar status in Korea. He's turning 31 in the summer with a contract til 2025 when he'll be 33, if he does move i'd expect it would be step down for one last pay cheque, rather than increasing his chances of noteworthy trophies (unless you count say MLS as an aspirational trophy)...

I’m happy for him to go now, as we’ve run our race as a club, and we have nothing left to offer.

He will go as our record goal scorer probably for as long as any of us will live, with thanks and best wishes. I hope he spends the last few years of his career winning it all, as it’ll be a tragedy if he doesn’t.

My fear is that Levy will refuse to let him go this summer when we could probably get £50m+ still, and instead lose him for free next year.

I could see Son heading off to the Middle East to get the big bucks for a couple of years before returning home.

Good luck to him, what a great career he’s had.

If Harry had busted the record against Arsenal I would not have been surprised to see him leave in the current window.

I just don’t want him to go to another PL team, I just don’t. If he does and breaks the PL record there then years from now people will always associate him with that club and totally discredit his time with us. I’m sure of it. Everyone always wants to make us irrelevant and push us aside, this will help them to do that - I mean you already have petty fans of other clubs putting him down literally only because he plays for us and it pains them, and they will absolutely change their tune to acknowledge his talents if he played for anyone else in the top 4. You know it will happen with all the broadcasting graphics too when he’s a guest “Harry Kane, former <insert club name> striker and PL record top scorer”.

I would only be okay with him leaving if he hits that milestone with us, so it is undisputed and then no one can take that away from us in the near future. But looking unlikely now because of that bald **** chairman of ours.

Harry is one the best and most complete strikers in the world and he's given us most of his career. We have failed getting the most out of such a generational talent, other than making ENIC rich(er).

I'm sure he desperately wanna win something with us, but we waste months (and will probably fail) getting a RWB with a reasonable buy out clause, while our rivals spend big.

I can't blame him for wanting something else.

Still the matter of Levy selling and I'm not sure he will. I could see him run out his contract and leave for Newcastle. He will be our highest ever scorer and then overtake Shearer at Newcastle. I can see them being one of the top sides by then. He'll just suck it up for another year with us and pre agree next January to move elsewhere.

Part of the deal of no move to city I’m sure was that he can go this year. Levy still gets some cash to invest and make no bones, Levy will blame AC.

Pretty sure it'll be Bayern - and possibly always was. They were being so smug about wanting to bring him in over the summer. ?
