If he doesn’t sign a new contract, he will be gone in a year anyway, with no money to replace him.

Liverpool sold forwards like Torres, Suarez and Coutinho for big money and reinvested wisely.
That's Liverpool, I do not see us doing the same and spending wisely, and so it's better to keep him.

I’ve actually had enough of harry Kane and his bigger than us , just go and leave us to build a team not just around you. We need to start fresh and rebuild the whole structure of the squad so it’s not built around kane

Me too. Fucking hate that he scores so consistently and assists so often. Really grates on me that when he plays he gives everything for the shirt. Pissed me off so much last night when he dragged the team back into the game wearing the captains armband.

We'd be better off without him.

If we appoint JN then I would be more than happy to keep Harry next season, hoping that we do well which might make him consider a new contract. But if its Slot then let the rebuild begin and sell Harry to the highest bidder.

And you call yourself mental lol.
Theres not a team in the world who are better without Kane.

He's not a generational player, he's a once in a lifetime player.

Not sure when some of these fans think we're next gonna see a triple golden boot winner, a world cup golden boot winner, Englands all time goal scorer and Spurs all time goal scorer.

Some seem to think we'll sell Kane and as long as we spend wisely its all ok.
Not a fucking chance in hell.
The dream is almost over.

Alarming how Spurs tinted the glasses are sometimes. It's like they don't realise who pulls the strings at the top.

Sounds like Kane’s camp firing warning shots to Levy “don’t price him out of a move or he’ll stay and you get nothing”
That sounds like a sensible way to play it from the Kane camp - hopefully he’s being better advised these days

Obviously it’ll be terribly sad to see him go but surely no supporter could begrudge his move in our current state!

Did you think this through before you wrote it? We would be fighting relegation almost if it wasn’t for Kane this season.

The fact that we have had such a player and 'almost' a complete team and great manager at certain stages of his Spurs career and still didn't take the gamble to push on to win things is beyond disappointing.

That Pochettino team during our final year at WHL should have been given the players needed to push on to glory. The fact that we let that window of opportunity pass us by is so short-sighted. Winning a few things, possibly even the league, and pushing on from there would have increased our value significantly, gained us new global fans, and given the board and owners precisely what they were looking for all along.

Instead, we've slid back down the ladder and are starting back where we were years ago - rudderless, with subpar players in some positions, and with one of the greatest ever England strikers likely on his way out the door.

Can any of you honestly see us being in such a position again for the foreseeable future? I can't.

I would argue they did not. Coutinho yes, but Coutinho wasn't as essential to Liverpool as Kane is to us. Torres was replaced by Andy Carroll and Suarez and the three seasons after he left they finished 8th, 8th and 8th: Suarez they replaced with Balotelli and ended the season losing 6-1 to Stoke.

Honestly, looking over the biggest transfers, so few reinvest the money well, because transfers are such a crapshoot. Us with Bale, Everton with Lukaku, Southampton with Van Dijk: how often does it actually work?

I am all for selling Kane this summer, IF it is not to PL club. No way do we sell to Manu i will go mental. Better to have him run down his contract.

But running down the contract on the last year at age 30 is a huge risk for Kane as well, what if he does a serious injury next March/April. No way any top PL club will give him a huge contract if he is a year out with no certainty he will ever recover.

Or a ‘don’t f**k up this managerial appointment if you want to stand any chance I’ll resign!’

Would be unbearable to hear every interview with him next season discussing his future but that is what we will have to accept if he stays and not sign

To be fair... I don't think Kane had any problems with Mourinho or Conte being at Spurs. I bet he thought it would end with us winning some silverware... looking back it didn't work out and we have lost our identity in the last couple of years.

I can see Kane staying if we get someone exciting in. Like Nagelsmann. And if Levy and Kane keep talking about plans, new ideas etc. it might soften his stance on a new contract.

Makes too much sense for him to stay out the contract. He has another kid on the way anyway so it makes sense to stay where he and his family are comfortable. Then he will have a pick of clubs. I think this season has been so strange it's hard to judge where teams are at. Utd have only really started to look good this season but then we looked good a year ago too. Arsenal shot up this season but whether they can do it next year with CL remains to be seen. Newcastle have come good but again will have to juggle CL. Chelsea have been a mess this season but always can bounce back. Liverpool have been poor but starting to get back now. The only real certainty is City and they won't make a move this summer.

Next season will be give a better sense of where teams are at. There's not a team who wouldn't take Kane on a free next year. I think Utd is still a risk and he's unlikely to win the league there. However they could get closer to it next season or they could slip away. Too much uncertainty at this moment.

The squad has never been built around him. In fact he may as well have been Bob the builder fixing every thing and holding the shit show together

This is why the big clubs spend big money for these players.
If its such a brilliant idea to buy other players then why dont they do that? Because you cannot replace these players or buy the equivalent elsewhere. It obvious.
I fear dark times ahead I really do. Only thing is I thought that with Modric, Bale and Eriksen yet we still did ok.
We'll see.

Not much of a warning though is it. Just basically stating facts. Personally I’d keep him the final year and let him run his contract down. Keeping a player for one more year who basically guarantees a minimum of 25 g/a isn’t really a threat.
