Swear some here will celebrate if he leaves this summer.

Totally get the arguments for selling now but for me he's a club legend and world class player and you hold on to him for as long as you can.

I'm not willing to give up just yet. It's not what the club is about. Better to fail aiming high that to succeed aiming low.

Thought we left the pragmatism behind after sacking Conte...

No one Spurs fan is going to celebrate this

I’m pretty sure (imo) that’s it’s all done bar a few minor financials.

Sad to lose him but I’ll be glad this constant narrative of ‘the Harry Kane team’ or ’He’s got to leave to win trophies’ narrative will finally be behind us. The media have been trying to flog him since he burst onto the scene.

Even if he stayed we’d only have constant talk over the next few months about how he can sign a pre-contract agreement and another few months of ‘he’s out of contract at the end of the season where’s he going to go?’

Time to pull the plaster off.

None of these scenarios are reasons to sell quite the opposite. Would rather we sign him up to a longer deal and win a league title as the "harry Kane team" to prove them wrong.

As someone firmly in the ‘sell him’ camp, I will be absolutely gutted that he’s gone.

But I will accept that it was the best possible scenario that we were left with out of a bad bunch.

It is the best of the worst outcomes.

The best possible scenario is that he stays, bangs a few goals, gets us in CL (above Man Utd) and signs some form of new deal (even if there are some clauses attached). Literally no one can fully rule it out - even Kane himself- even if the probability is low.

I hate to break it to you but we aren't winning the league anytime soon, Kane or not.

The longer this goes on tonight with no news the more likely he is going I think
Yeah, as I said earlier, I've heard nothing on this today, but my personal opinion is he goes. Like a few have said, if he was staying, I think we would have heard something definitive. Just need an end to this saga ASAP!

Pretty sure today has just been a mass release of information to make it seem like the club did what they could and Kane found it hard to leave when in reality everyone wanted it done except the fans.

This is just so depressing. Either it's gonna ruin my night if it breaks early next morning or Friday tomorrow when I wake up. Yesterday was seeming so positive too 😭

I think a big risk for us has always been him going before we act to sign attacking players to replace his goals and promptly getting screwed on price.

When Bale was sold we managed that pretty well.

I so want him to stay and lead big Anges revolution but I think he has gone - the timing is awful -for the first time since prime Poch we have a coach that will play the way the fans and the players want and to lose Harry now is such a downer - with Richy out for potentially months I dont think we will do ourselves justice between now and Xmas -maybe we rally from there but until you have lost Kane you truly don’t realise what is gone - and it’s a lot…..
