Comedy gold with all ex-Manure players thinking that they can have Kane for 100m.

I thought that when I saw the headline but to be fair to Rooney I don’t think that’s the point he’s making. He admits it’s ‘difficult, maybe impossible’ to get Kane but is making the point they should be looking for an elite CF not trying to get Sancho. The headline is click bait

I've never agreed with the idiotic "Harry Kane is a selfish player" takes from rival fans, even some pundits.

But have definitely noticed a shift in his mentality this season.

Everything he does on the pitch is for the team. Dropping deep, making dummy runs, pulling defenders out of position - and because he's such an intelligent playmaker when he does pick up the ball in midfield, he sets us on the attack practically every time.

World class.

He really does seem to have shifted into a higher gear that I didn't even know he had. Going to be a really, really exciting year for him.

Jose said he would help Kane reach another level and thats starting to look to be the case. The way the season is going you could see him get 25+ goals and 15-20 assists. Becoming such a brilliant all round player and I'm loving it.
I feel like Kane has tried to be this player for the last few seasons. Dropping deep and taking responsibility. The issue has been that he didn't have a clone of himself to pass to. Seems like Mourinho has seen his potential in this role, and set the rest of our attack up accordingly.

If he stays fit I’m thinking ballon d’or.
He just needs to keep his head down and forget things like that. He keeps smashing them in and assisting at anywhere near his current rate it may make them reconsider just giving it to Messi, but I don’t think he will be thinking that

Having the likes of Son and Bale to ping the ball to now, Kane is free to rove knowing these guys have pace to burn, and are clinical finishers. It makes him less predictable, meaning defenders should start to drop off him rather than follow him closely, so when he decides to stand up rather than drop deep, they may not be as close as they need to be. Add Bergwijn and Moura to the mix as alternatives to Son/Bale, looks good.
From the YouTube compilations, Vinicius looks a rounded striker too, having the workrate and technical linkup skills, not just a finisher, Kane-lite maybe, but that’s only from a small snapshot so far, so let’s see how he settles.

There, somehow, has been a continuous debate on who the best striker in the PL is.

Pointless.

Kane isn't only the best striker - but probably the best player in the league.

Definitely back to his best and now with the added assists to his game maybe even better than before. I wonder what Merson thinks now?

Not being funny but he's got a genuine chance at the assists record if he and son stays fit, needs 15 more in 34 games, definitely capable of that, add that to the amount of goals he could end up scoring... could be a scarily good year for him

Its great to see, I think all the new signings especially Bale will have given him such a new lease of life as he now looks around our squad and at our World Class Manager and will think things had gone pretty stale a year or so ago after such a good ride with Poch and he will have been thinking we are heading back to mid table mediocrity or at least very slim chance of having the required quality to win anything so he will have been losing motivation and patience, fast forward to now and he's looking round the dressing room and on the training pitch at the likes of Hart, Doherty, Regullion, PEH, Vinicius competition for him and most importantly BALE, world class player returning so he will now be bloody excited and motivated again and its showing. Also the 4-3-3 with him dropping a bit deeper suits him and us perfectly.

For sure he will have a chance if he stays fit and keeps producing numbers like he has been start of this season.

Jose said in the AON documentary he can make Harry's career explode and take him to the next level and so far he's proving true to his word.

after the international break he'll be able to feed Bale too, just has to stay fit like you say

It feels like he has fully adapted to the new system now. Drawing the opposition out and having the pace of Son making runs ahead means he can get on the ball and pass forward into a direct goalscoring position. Previously he was often switching play to the wing and we were finding it hard to assist from there. I can't wait for Bale to offer runs on the right as well. Opponents are going to have nightmares trying to contain those 3.

His passing ability is ridiculous, it's such a joy to watch.

Once we add bale to him & Son it could be so scarily good.

Really hope Southgate sees sense and doesn't play him on Thursday.

Really should only start the Belgium game and be rested for the other two. We all known what Harry can do at international level so isn't this the perfect chance to give the likes on Ings & Calvert Lewin a chance to see what they can do at international level.
