According to scrotum necked Gary Lineker, Kane’s Kosovo goal really doesn’t matter because football was much harder to play in the old days
And just to prove how wankfuckery Lineker can be when it comes to cronyism, this from The GuardianAccording to scrotum necked Gary Lineker, Kane’s Kosovo goal really doesn’t matter because football was much harder to play in the old days
Hopefully he can fill his spurs boots vs that West Ham keeper.
I saw with my own eyes kane working hard leading the press. Let's see what he does for us....
A press is not about one man, the whole team needs to press. Don't hold your breathe for him to do it on the weekend, cause it seems the directive is not to.I saw with my own eyes kane working hard leading the press. Let's see what he does for us....
It's always moving goalposts with these tossers as well. Got into it with a guy on Reddit talking about how Shearer had scored against the likes of Germany and Argentina, implying Kane's record was worthless. When I mentioned that Kane had goals and non-trivial assists against France, Spain, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland etc., he raised the level to goals in major tournaments only, which made it impossible for Kane to have a good record because he hasn't played more than a couple of top nations there (easy for casual fans to forget that he's actually only been a factor in one big tournament -- it feels like he's been around forever).Any striker that scores lots of international goals will score a ton vs lesser opposition because of qualifying and friendlies.
A goal is a goal regardless of the opposition and if a player missed the chances against the lesser opposition they would assassinate his character and mentality..
Imagine having one of the best strikers in the world play for your team/nation but you still look to diminish his achievements.

He'll need a rest. Big pitch at the Olympic Stadium
Hopefully he can get at least one until he goes back into 2nd gear
Plus it’s Olympiacos the following Tuesday so the entire team will drop off 2nd half v the spammers

Apart from anything else the point just isn't true. Just looked back to England matches 1990-91 and 91-92 seasons with Lineker at his peak.

If anything I'd say the modern fixture list is a bit harder! The only thing that can pad out goals is the introduction of total minnows like Andorra and San Marino - but we haven't drawn them, and even if we had Kane hasn't got his goal tally by knocking 4/5 past the likes of them. He's got hattricks against the kind of mid-ranking sides that Lineker may have scored one against. Gary and many of the other former internationals are mostly just sour at the fact that the modern team, bereft of some of the big names and bigger attitudes, is doing better than they ever managed.

Apparently one of Shearer's world cup tap-ins is better than that time Kane cruyff'd three Germans out of the game to place one into the bottom corner past Neuer.
As a hardcore England supporter, I obviously love Shearer as a player so I'm not going to diminish his achievements, but I love Kane even more so I'm definitely not going to let other people use Shearer's achievements to diminish Kane.
What's hilarious is Rooney's record. I still love him as an England player but if anyone's a fraud on the leaderboard, it's him. Kane already has six times more world cup goals, a ridiculously higher GPG and somehow less stat-padding. Why don't any of them talk about that?
If we don’t make the top 4 this season or win a trophy I think it’s time we let the man go and win something. He could walk into any team in the world and we would get a record breaking amount of money to invest back into the club. Look what Pool did with the coutinho money. The guy is absolute world class and deserves trophies. He’s fiercely loyal, but I feel we are holding him back. He’s 27 next year and to be honest if he wanted to leave I wouldn’t begrudge him. I will always love, respect and admire the guy.
Maybe next summer he will put his career before his loyalty. I guess will see.Why would we willingly let him go? If he doesn't want to leave why push him out the door? lol
