Really is shit or bust time for Levy.

If he fails to show any ambition this summer, both via the managerial appointment and/or transfers, then Kane will be off next summer and he will be under the most pressure of his time here and it will start to hit season ticket/merchandise sales etc as a significant portion of fans will completely lose faith.

Wouldn't want to be him right now. Go out and sign Grealish, Ings, Sabitzer, a top CB, and get rid of all the deadwood for whatever price you can get even if it costs you your pride. That's basically the only scenario in which we halt this decline and maybe persuade Kane to stay. Won't happen though obviously.
Well he hasn't shown much ambition pitch wise in the last 21 years so what makes anyone think he will start now.

Kane just wants to ensure that we won’t be playing in the ECL next season.

He’s just putting pressure on Mason not to start with Sissoko , Winks or Doherty in our last two matches.

If the bid is big enough to fund a complete rebuild then it’s precisely the end to his time at the club which has looked inevitable for 2 years. We know Levy will get a very high price (or we won’t sell this summer) but I’m devoid of any confidence in Levy/Hitchen to reinvest the money smartly and effectively.

Think we’re probably headed back to pre-Jol levels of obscurity tbh.
It'll be just like Bale again. The sale fee all over the redtops, every club on the planet knowing we need to get someone in, so they will over-inflate the value of their best players, and we end up buying a crop of players that aren't quite good enough and they're gone in a couple of years.

And we all have another decade of Thursday nights in the 2nd tier of European competition to look forward to.

I don't think anyone is sill enough to realise that Kane would leave if the opportunity was there.

However I don't think he is the character to kick up a stink, so its a case of refusing to sign an extended contract and running it down until he is sold.

I just find it amazing people think Levy would sell him to a prem club. He learnt his lesson and look where Bale and Modric ended up when they wanted to go to Man United and Chelsea respectively.
I think if the choice is between letting Kane run down his contract and selling him for £120+ million to a prem club next year, there's a good chance Levy does it. Especially following what could be a whole year of rumours and speculation.

Given the state of all the other super clubs it's hard to see who else would come in for him and I don't think Levy is going to risk Kane going on the cheap like Eriksen.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll hang on to him for another 2 years or Real will scrounge some cash together, but otherwise I think the most likely outcome is that he ends up at one of the Manchester clubs (0% chance we'd sell Kane to Chelsea). Don't think he'll go anywhere this summer though.

If this is true, and it’s a big if. I don’t get the timing of it?

The next game is a home game with fans in the stadium. What does he expect? Adulation, banners begging him to stay? It’s a strange one.

Personally I don’t think anyone can afford him, and if they pony up £150m + coming out of a pandemic, when there have been no revenue streams for clubs, then it’s disgusting, and another reason why I’m falling out of love with football. Same goes for Haaland if anyone pays that for him.

Football is a horrible business. People are losing homes, businesses, jobs and a fucking football club owned by a slave country spends money like it’s nothing, fuck it all.

He'll no doubt be asked many questions about his future now by the media. His response to them will be telling.

sadly the silence is telling enough. We wont see him doing any media duties. Not even spurs ones where questions will be nothing about leaving

Maybe he is putting pressure on us to give him our player of the season award?

The only way I can see us keeping him is if we get sold to someone richer than Abu ‘human rights abusers’ Dhabi FC tbh.

If he wants to go to someone else in England then he can get the same treatment as Judas in my eyes. He may only break our hearts in 2 pieces, unlike Judas who chose the shattering approach, but he’ll be breaking our hearts all the same.

Of course the club won't admit it. Ali is the clubs mouthpiece.

Do you really think the club would put it out and say yes Kane has asked to leave?

This story has come from Kane's reps 100%.

Let's be honest, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

We could well be playing Europa conference football next season, of course Kane wants to leave.
Dragon 1 just said the same as AG.

It won't be a popular opinion but I'd much rather sell him this summer than next.

New manager, new plans, and if we spend the money correctly the rebuild would start sooner and not be dragged out for another year with our disgustingly stale squad.

It it happens, it happens. Adios pal.

are you suggesting fans are going to boo him? Actually on second thoughts knowing how abhorrent most of our fans are, it's highly likely so good point!
