Very true. With that perhaps there's an element of risk involved and could it then boil down to his personal preference. Everyone will be meeting that number, even us
Agree, With the ticket price at 75m there will be competition galore, this is going to be reflected in the personal package. This won’t be a bargain for the buyer.

I hope this whole thing actually tells Nuno, even if he stays then we don’t need to rely on him as much.

If he is not fit, don’t play him, stick him on the bench. Treat him like he’s treated us

Man City lawyers currently in the office 24/7 trying to find a loophole that allows them to sell Shaun Goater to Girona FC for £200m cash...

Where did you get those stats from?

Griezmann was €120m, Ronny went for £105m not long ago to Juve, and Hazard was over £100m.

This is the list from Transfermarkt:

We sold Bale 8 years ago for almost £100m. The fact that with the massive inflation we've seen since that there's even the consideration that Kane would be worth only £100m is unbelievable.

The fact Kane apparently thinks he can get a move for only £100m is also unbelievable.

£160m is the minimum price IMO and even then that was before all the antics that Kane is up to right now. Frankly i'd be upping his price by £5m for every day he doesn't come to training.

The only word that I think can sum up Kane’s recent doings is “naive”.

I do not care one jot should he leave. If he does, I’d probably crack a wry smile should he not win anything. I also believe that if he did pick up a PL winners medal it would mean basically nothing and be utterly hollow.
For example, the next day he wakes up:

“Right. I’ve done that. Errr… what happens now? I feel no different, but I have completely alienated a fan base that completely adored me at my boyhood club that I love in exchange for this medal in my hand.”

So, yeah. Great! You’ve achieved that, Harry. What does it actually mean in the grand scheme of things and what has that cost you? I think looking back on his career, he would regret it.

As others have said, he’s never been my favourite Spurs player. For some reason I just don’t feel that kind of affiliation with him.

Replacing his output would be difficult, however I think the team as a whole hasn’t always benefitted from his involvement at times.

If it were me, I’d get rid. There’s no sense in prolonging the inevitable. The sooner we navigate this fiasco, the sooner we might have a rebuilt team that is set up to play as a team. There’s no time for sentiment in massive business decisions like this, in my opinion.

So, ultimately, you go, Harry. But be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. You think you’ll get the same unconditional adoration in Manchester? Hmmmm….

By now all the City fans will be more than aware that Kane is pushing very hard for a move there, and I just had this sickening thought...what if, when we play them in a few weeks time, their fans start singing 'Harry Kane, he's one of our own' just to piss us off to the maximum degree?

No, I know that's not funny.

If this news is true, then Kane bid is a matter of when not if

Well then they'd better put the £100 million they wanted to pay for Grealish on top of the laughable £100 million they tried to get Kane for initially, and come up with a far more realistic offer of £200 million. If Grealish has rejected them (and well done Jack if you have) then they can't exactly plead poverty any more. Cough up or fuck off.

Berba no not a legend IMHO however I thoroughly enjoyed when he was here and still one of the most sublime players to have been seen in our shirt in my lifetime.
Was I disappointed with how it ended? Yes! However after a time I hold no vitriol towards him for simple reasons;
  • He said pretty much from the outset he saw us as a stepping stone and he'd be looking to move after a couple of years (or his shitty agent did!)
  • The old red nosed bastard also basically said at the time we signed him "he wasn't prepared to take the gamble on him until he's proved himself in the league"
  • I do however still hold a lot of vitriol with the ORNB, Man U and the F.A for deadline day, we'd agreed a fee with city and UTD basically kidnapped him.
  • Was I pissed at DL at the time too? Damn right I was but only because if he'd pushed it UTD should've gotten points deducted for tapping up! If we'd have then let an unhappy player go to the club we'd agreed a fee with oddly I'd have been okay with that!
  • Yes we would've been without a striker (arguably by agreeing to take Frazier on loan we did anyway!) but we'd have made a stand and maybe set a precedent for tapping up our players. DL agreed to the pound notes rather than do the right thing and make them bleed for it.
  • Maybe we had some achievable bonus' clauses added into it that weren't made public; who knows (I wasn't on here then and I've no idea of the truth of Berba's behaviour (if it was his choice or he was poorly advised) or if anything else was in that deal that mean't we didn't get the F.A involved.
  • The last thing I'll add is for all UTD chased him I take satisfaction in that Fergie rarely played to his strengths anyway and I doubt UTD fans rate him as a legend. ORNB only wanted him so we couldn't have him!
With Harry it's quite simple do city want him at £200 million? If yes then pay up in cash in one lump (no exceptions, I don't want them not being able to give us full fee when the F.A/UEFA do finally grow a pair and then we miss out because of a financial penalty or their owners piss off!

If not I'm fine if Harry stays, he's still £120 odd million next season, there may be more clubs in a position to get a bit of a bidding war going and he's not cost us a transfer fee to begin with.
I don't want any City cast offs making up any part of a deal this summer no matter how good they may be; again why should we be doing city double/triple favours by taking their unwanted players off their hands in exchange they get our highest asset in terms of goals and assists!

Anyone wishing him away on a cut price deal just to be shot of him needs their heads given a little wobble, take a second, breathe and take emotion out of it and stop under valuing some of our players; we sell him at below that figure then what's the point?
These same people will then it spin around and say typical DL selling off our best players again!
To those saying City aren't a rival team well they're never likely to be if everyone buckles to them or what the likes of sky pundits etc say.

Again these total hypocrites moaning about the ESL being anti-competitive and a closed shop, well this basically amounts to the same bloody thing in all but name!
For me this is now beyond a transfer fee; this is do we carry on doing what we always do or do we as a club get over this weak arse mentality yump and say "eff you" we aren't in the business any longer of selling our best players especially to rivals in the same league!

I don't know what the whole truth is regard Harry's actions and until the truth emerges I'm leaving emotion at the door; does it sound like he's been ill advised from somewhere? Absolutely!
Do I think giving his family shit on social media is in anyway acceptable? Absolutely not!
Should Harry cop some stick? TBH I think a lot of these articles hurt him a lot more than abuse on social media do. I think a few home games he will absolutely realise he's handled it like a total toolbox.

Would the atmosphere stink for a bit if he stayed? Probably; up until he puts in about 10 goals or the window shuts with him still here!
Could he improve it by signing another deal (not even with a massive extension) with a different representative with a guaranteed release fee in that £120 mill ballpark with 2 years left I mentioned? I think most would be alright with that TBH At least everyone knows where they'd stand.

Also footballers happy to sign mega contracts yet jump ship if their side gets relegated/doesn't get top four/win the league; well I'm sorry but I'm a smite fed up with them forgetting that they play a vital part in hitting these targets, it doesn't all fall on a manager nor all fall on a chairman, there're four/three trophies up for grabs each season, someone will miss out that's the rules of the competition and the odds of the damn thing. Up until these financially doped teams are reigned in you're banking on a one in a million shot of someone busting up that monopoly. I guarantee you if Spurs got oil money owners tomorrow at breakfast, FFP would be enforced like a motherfucker by teatime!

BTW yes DL has made mistakes too but to put all of this in his lap I'm sorry but we agree to disagree. It's for another thread.

Just an opinion.

Sorry for the long post!
Good post mate. ?

Grealish looks like he's heading to City according to major journos on twitter, I know it's City and FFP is a joke but just can't see them being able to spend £250+ million on two players

Chelsea spent that much last summer, albeit on 5 players. Man City will also have offloaded close to £100m on players in the last year.

Still can't believe a player who could have reached club legend status (if he isn't already) is forcing his way to a morally bankrupt club like City, likely ruining his reputation with fans and club in the process. The state of modern football unfortunately.

I agree with you 100% but the sad and tragic fact of the matter is, the City fans don't give a shit about their club being financially doped, and the more the fans of the other clubs moan and whinge about it, the more they love it. It bloody sucks, I know, but that's the truth.
