on a positive note regarding Kane leaving.. I always remind myself that other teams won trophies without Kane

it's a TEAM game, we forgot this too often

of course he's great but you know..
Other teams that won trophies dont have nincompoops in certain areas of the field

Kane would back himself to start ahead of any striker on the planet and Man City could easily fit the pair into the team, with Harry being very adept at playmaking/dropping deep. Its as close to guaranteed success as he's ever likely to get(in England anyway, Bayern/Madrid etc wont interest him if he wants the Prem record). Especially if Arsenal win the Prem, City will want statement signings and it doesnt get much bigger than Harry Kane.

Theres also the question of this 'Ronaldo Rule' at United, nobody on more than £200k a week, im sure they'd break it for Harry but who knows really. Im certainly not as sure as some are this morning that United are the ones to be worried about.

Its Chelsea and Todd Boehly i'm concerned about.

When Kane leaves we are going to find out as a club just how hard it is to find a 20+ goal striker that does it every season. Anyone thinking things are going to get better is going to be dealt a harsh reality.

Having a player like Kane was a golden opportunity for a club like ours, all we had to do was surround him with good players, but no we have Levy absolutely fucking the whole thing up.

Anyone who thinks we will have success with Levy at the club in the future really needs to take a long hard look at things, if Levy couldn’t get it done with Kane then he is going to find it so much harder without Kanes goals papering over the cracks.

Levy is an absolute prick, mismanagement, reactionary, no plan, makes it up as he goes along. I feel sorry for Kane that for the largest part of his career he has this moron in control of things.

Imagine if Kane could take a free kick? He’d have smashed these records he’s after years ago.

I don't think he'd want to tarnish his standing with us by playing at the Goons or Cheatski, although West Ham might forgive him for turning out for West Ham when he's 38

No one is bigger than the Club, not even it's soon to be greatest ever goalscorer.

Whilst I love Harry to bits, if he wants to jump ship, then so be it. We've had world class talent before him and we'll have world class talent after him. We got to a CL final without him.

I want him to stay. Hell I'm desperate for him to stay, however I'm past worrying about it. I won't say its disloyal to want to leave, but I'm a Spurs fan, just as he supposedly is, and I couldn't ever want to see myself leave Spurs if I was a footballer, no matter how good I was.

If I couldn't win anything with Spurs, it wouldn't mean anything. Obviously that's my feeling (although I'm guessing most on here feel the same), and I can't force it on someone who doesn't see it that way, but I think that's the definition of loyalty perhaps.

I get this. Im a Spurs fan and winning a CL for say Man United if I was a player would not be satisfaction for me as I want to win for and with Spurs. Then again im not a pro and how many players actually play and win glory for the club they supported. He doesnt want to finish his career not winning anything and the Carabao isnt going to cut it (cant even win that)

He will almost certainly stay in the PL, mainly for Shearers record. The only way I see him not leaving is if Man United finish outside top four and we finish in it (or we both finish in it really), Newcastle - I cant see him going there but who knows. Man City? could want him as he will offer somethign different to Haaland but not im sure Kane will want to be a starter especially going for Shearers record so unless they guarantee him the starting spot, cant see that working out.

A few years ago he was likely the best striker in the world. But at this time we were flying under Poch, he was given a huge salary and we were putting in title challenges and doing well in the CL.

I believe at this time, he wouldn't have left the club willingly.

He's still high quality but it's hard to tell how many more years he has at the top. We're certainly no longer around the top. We're back to hoping for a top 4 finish.

After the City interest, I believe given the opportunity Kane would leave us for a top club.

The question at this stage is who would want him and be willing to pay a high fee for an ageing player.

City clearly don't want him. Utd seem to be the best bet, but whether he'd see them as a sure thing for titles, I'm not so sure.

I believe he has 18 months on his contract and I've not read anything suggesting we have an option to extend. My guess is we'll keep him for 18 months then he'll stay or go depending on the level of interest in him.

Will be a sad day for the club and the fans if he does go but ultimately if he wants to go and chase a couple of trophies at what would be his boyhood clubs rivals then i can't say i am going to wish him success at all and quite the opposite.

Him going abroad would be a different matter as i always tend to wish the Spurs lads who go abroad well and i'd hope he could fill his boots as long as it is not at the expense of Spurs.

I think we're in a difficult situation now we're a better club.

When Sheringham, Carrick and Berbatov went to Utd, I held no malice for them. Utd were the best team in the country at the time and we were far off the pace with no sign of competing anytime soon.

Naturally, I'd hate to see Kane at Arsenal or Chelsea. City likely won't be interested and Liverpool and Utd are more our rivals than simply being bigger and better clubs than us.

So, it'd be hard to wish him well at a Prem club now.

Up until now I never thought that he would go. However, our situation now leads me to believe that unless we go and win something this season he is more likely than not , to go. We cannot let him go on a free. I think he still commands 100m and if he goes, he goes to Man Utd who need a centre forward and usually pay what is asked. No doubt Danny will ask a lot more than 100m.
he has carried us for long enough. I would not begrudge him a move and hope we would re invest sensibly, not 7 players like last time.

To be honest i never wished any of those lot well leaving us for teams who compete against us.

If he leaves now for a Prem club after getting slagged off every week by the majority of their fanbases both in club football and internationally then that is his business but i'd like to think he has a bit more pride than that.

it would be a travesty him not winning anything but the likely choice he will have in this league won't guarantee he wins the biggest of prizes and if he wins a carabao or FA cup at someone other than Spurs will it have been worth it?

Utd seem his most likely destination if he doesn't go on a free. They've shown with Casemiro and others, they'll spend big on ageing players and not care about resale value. Kane would be a big signing for them.

Anyone that wishes him well is a knobba. Why would anyone want that he to do well at a rival

Don’t begrudge him a move because of the farce we have become, but surely everyone here would want him to fail

Unless he’s playing arsenal

That was my point.

I held no malice for Sheringham as Utd weren't a rival and he'd been a very good player for the club.

But now we're in a position to potentially compete at the top, I'd be much more unhappy with one of our top players going to another top 6 Prem club.

I really hope he doesn’t go to United.

My smug United supporting mate has been reasonably quiet since Fergie left. He’s started to ‘wake up’ the last few weeks!

He’ll be bloody unbearable if Kane elevates them to a similar level to where they were. ??

Kane can come out this summer and be really honest "broken promises and a lack of clear direction from board level. I love the club but I have no confidence they are trying to build something to give the fans on-field success". Would put the boot into levy and I'm sure fans would on the whole agree with him.
Don't do this to yourself. You know truly well this won't turn around on a night. He has been through too many rebuilds, to have any more confidence in winning anything at this club.

Criminal we’ve never built a winning team around him, absolute negligence mainly on Levy’s part.

Who could blame him for getting fed up with the shit around him?

I’d be seriously fed up watching that shit behind me if I was him. We’re all human.
I agree. It's a waste of time for him of his caliber, being here. We will never see anyone like him in our litetime, and to see this goes to waste is a fucking shame.
