This isn't FM.

This is reality. And reality in a Spurs world. As much as people kick and scream - we don't have the bottomless pit of funds people seem to think we should have.
Too busy building hotels and go karting tracks. If we invested that money in the scouting network we might be picking up the kolo mouanis and similar before they become 60m players.

If its a youngish forward with great potential, then for me its Lucas Beltran. Not similar in style, very effective for RiverPlate in SouthAmerica.Beltran profiles like Alvarez , Lautaro kind of player. Not a out & out no9.
Matches Kane in output every way possible...ofcourse its different leagues

I've mentioned him a few times on here as a very good option for a back up/prospect. Fiorentina have been heavily linked over the last week tho so would have to act swiftly.
We rarely act quickly which is one of our main problems when it comes to transfers, in or out.

And I said that already. And that’s also why he will be 20m €

At the moment , Atletico looking at him to replace Felix if he goes and Milan also bidding for him.

It will be one of those transfers 1 year later , same people who will look down on him will be disappointed we didn’t sign him for 60m

No return on your investments there.

I sincerely doubt our scouting and player acquisition teams are involved in the hotel and f1 track 🤔

Reality is that we are the 3rd most profitable sports team in the world and we did not take out the remaining 50 million from ENIC last summer.

There's no reason this club cannot afford to add players like Richarlison and Maddison to the squad over multiple transfer windows. Nobody is saying go and bring in Mbappé etc.

The whole point of the stadium and everything else was so that we wouldn't have to rely on a Kane, Bale or Modric type sale every few years to rebuild.

Man utd just agreed deal to sign radmus hojlund centre forward from Atalanta for £64m plus potential 8m added on so no way they will be in for Kane this window. One less option for him in England this summer and pretty no viable English option left unless he did the unthinkable which I doubt he would.

Ultimately I want to enjoy watching our club again. For me that means we need a core of players who want to be at the club and play to an attacking managers style. We definitely have a manager who will at least attempt that, I’d rather he has players that are completely committed. I’d also prefer not to have this hanging over the club for 6-12 months while Ange does his thing.

If someone a year ago said you were replacing England's no 9 with brazils no 9, would you be OK with this? I'm interested in seeing richy as a centre forward.
I think the issue is that we already have both so that's always going to come to mind for a lot of people
The way it will basically look is we sold our best striker and didn't replace him
We have Soloman in for Danjuma who we had on loan, we have Gil back to replace Moura who has left
Now we could move Perisic into attack so we would be covered but again we already had him and between them they didn't score goals
We definitely need another forward but it has to be genuine competition for Richarlison. Even if it's someone young with potential.

I and quite a few others said Richarlison was Kanes replacement. For the money we dropped it was obvious.

Normal circumstances replacing Kane with Richy is fucking mental but I think we looked better with Richy in pre season. Granted it's 90mins of football

Exactly. If our rivals can spend it like it’s going out of fashion even without CL money, I’d love to know our excuse. No doubt it’ll be this stadium they built for a billion quid to increase the value of their asset.

When Kane does go, the minimum us fans should expect is that money to be invested along with whatever money was put aside for transfers at the start of the window. Which should have been enough for Maddison and 2 CBs. 1 quality starter and 1 with potential. The Kane money should be going on someone like Vlahović.

None of this bollocks that once kanes gone we can finally afford the CBs and some young kid for a season to cover alongside Richarlson who hasn’t scored anything noteworthy since being in the Prem.

I wouldnt at all be surprised if this was the reason we were "happy" to drop 60m on Richarlison.
I frankly don't care anymore. I should, I want to... but I do not trust this club anymore to do right by us fans. Sure, great financials, and obviously structuraly we have done great, but F me, sorting out the squad is a shambles.

We are way to reactional and frankly, to be told we will now only sign the two CB's we were looking at due to selling Kane is shambolic in the extreme. We're not trying to sign 2x van Dijk here.... jesus wept.

Don't blame Kane for leaving. New Stadium game changer my arse.
