Well, I think if his concern is simply the record then he stays with us.

i don’t believe we are in a position where we get massively outbid on wages by many rival PL clubs so not sure money will Come into it. DL will offer a package that goes a long way to compensating him for not leaving on a free (as per some of the ITK)

That then leaves likelihood of trophies. City very unlikely to take him in a year.
And no other club offers a risk free chance of a trophy. Cup competitions are just too unpredictable. So I don’t believe he leaves what he has with us for Utd, or Liverpool. I don’t believe he goes to Gooners or Chavs for obvious reasons.

It’s more likely he goes to a PL club mate tbf. That’s assuming he doesn’t stay with us. Family is settled here, a young family at that. He also has the chance to still beat Shearers record and also get a juicy pay rise. The only club he ‘might’ go to if it has to be abroad is Madrid as the pull of that club is huge.
