A different perspective, but I’m really looking forward to seeing who’s going to fill the void.
Whenever there’s a vacuum, somebody steps in to fill that void.
Why can’t that be a Dane Scarlett? Or Richie? Sonny?
Or just the whole team contribute now, because they aren’t having to depend on one outlet.
On-field strategies and behaviours will change now…and other players will rise to the challenge and surprise.

And who knows, maybe Ange gets to pick a new recruit to suit his style.
All options are open….and exciting.
Let’s not bring down the energy and enthusiasm of this revitalised squad by becoming toxic about everything Spurs related.

From Sky Germany...

"We are all waiting for Harry Kane now in the Bundesliga! Everything was prepared for him landing this morning but the private flight was cancelled.

"We expect him to arrive this afternoon, this is the wish from the club as he could pass his medical today in order to play against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig, live on Sky Sports.

"I haven't had the permission of the Bayern sources to report about a complete, 100-per-cent done deal because small details have to be clarified. It's very unclear as to why he is not on the plane as planned and scheduled.

"Bayern is very well prepared for the arrivals for superstars. He would be picked up at the private airport in Munich with a red car, a very specific red car which picks up all players from the private airport. Then they would travel for 30 minutes into the city centre to a specific hospital where he could pass the first part of his medical. Bayern Munich is 100 per cent prepared for the medical.

"Kane was so motivated and is pushing to start for Bayern Munich at the Super Cup final. If he doesn't play against RB Leipzig on Saturday, then he will play at the start of the Bundesliga on Friday against Werder Bremen. This is the target for all parties involved.

"It's difficult to describe this transfer in words. It's not just a transfer. It's getting Harry Kane, the superstar of the Premier League, the captain of the Three Lions, it would be a massive statement transfer for Bayern Munich, Germany and the Bundesliga.

"The mission for Kane is to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel, not the Bundesliga. The ambition is to win the treble and Kane is a treble transfer."
FFS Levy, why didn't we offer Kane a red car to pick him up and take him to training every day!!!

And as for a statement for the Bundesliga, still nobody's going to be watching. Not even in the top 5 most watched leagues in the World.

Really fucked off with this Harry Kane *deserves* nonsense. He doesn't deserve anything, he played incredibly well for Tottenham and was incredibly well paid to do so. He doesn't deserve to go to a 2 team league and win anything, if he is part of a team that plays the best over a season and finishes top of the league he will get a medal. If he is part of a team that goes unbeaten in a cup competition he will get a medal.
Stop talking like Harry Kane did us any favors, he was paid to play for us and now he will be paid to play for Bayern.

From the beeb:

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on Harry Kane: "I don't have a blow by blow account of the whole thing but I understand it has progressed to where it will happen. That's all the information I have at the moment. It looks like we'll move forward without Harry.
"I don't have feelings either way about needing anything. From my perspective it's about understanding where were are at. I understand the deal is imminent."

Ffs, I went to watch Sky sports news to see Ange’s press conference and they’re asking Poch “have you ever seen a transfer window like this, with Kane moving to Bayern Munich”. Stuff of nightmares.

No offence to D1, but I think we know Levy gives zero shits about anything other than the business. “Deserving” the move in no way sounds like Levy, or how you run a business. This is bullshit spin to make it not Levy’s decision/fault that he sold Kane.
Club will just make a few changes to this:

"Gareth was a player we had absolutely no intention of selling as we look to build for the future. He is a player whose career we have fostered and developed and he was only a year into his new four year contract.

"Such has been the attention from Real Madrid and so great is Gareth's desire to join them, that we have taken the view that the player will not be sufficiently committed to our campaign in the current season.

"We have, therefore, with great reluctance, agreed to this sale and do so in the knowledge that we have an exceptionally strong squad to which we have added no fewer than seven top internationals. More importantly, we have an immense team spirit and a dressing room that is hungry for success.

"We wish Gareth all the best in the future and he shall always be welcome at the Lane."

I'm sad he's going, but very happy it's not on a free and even happier it's not to someone like City.

I'm not as emotional over this as most on here. I see him as a great player who has dragged this club through games these last 3-4 years. We can't rely on him to dig us out of a hole anymore so Levy better invest that money into players that the football people at this club recommend. Star signings are all well and good, but N'Dombele was one of those and we've been paying the price for that bit of bad business for some time.

He was an overweight kid who had been dumped by arsenal. He also was a young man who couldn't get a game with Norwich on loan.

He made it through hard work and dedication, but he was given an opportunity of a lifetime by spurs.

He should be grateful that he was given the chance to live a dream. Some don't get given it.

Spurs didn't owe him anything

Because we've had a shit 4 years playing negative shit football.

It's been done to death. All people want to do is blame and moan. It's done, can't go back and change things.

Perhaps us as fans need to forget it, and just get back to supporting the team first.
Completely agree with this. Its horrible and i hate that he's going BUT he does deserve the move IMO. We let him down not the other way around.

Since 2 years ago.

Yeah, I can understand people being upset or emotional about Kane leaving. Football affects us all in different ways. A lot of people are clearly very, very angry, which personally, I don't think is particuarly healthy but whatever.

But what I'm really struggling to get my head around is people being shocked by it. He's wanted out for two years. It was obvious that he wouldn't be signing a new contract, so would be leaving next year anyway. It just seemed inevitable that sooner or later, this summer or next, he would be gone. It's not a shock, it's been on the cards for two years.

No doubt, but hopefully most won’t fall for it and ask the question of “why was he so desperate to leave a club he’s been at since he was a kid?”.
I worked for a company i loved for nearly 17 years but then i felt like i needed a change and a new challenge so left for a different set of opportunities. I could have stayed where i was for another 20+ years but knew i would regret not trying something else. I still identify with that organisation and have a passion for its success. Nothing is stopping me going back in the future if the opportunity comes up but it was the right decision to move as i was not fulfilled professionally at the time.

Fans have to stop looking at footballers as people living out their dreams and see them as employees working a job and looking out for their own careers. Tottenham is Harry's employer and, whilst i have no doubt he will always feel an affection and affiliation with them, he is not bound to them in any way. As a fan losing Kane hurts but he has given his all for the team and deserves the chance to try something new. He may regret it and he may not, but the same could be said if he stayed. Personal ambitions to test yourself, try something new, prove your capability are exactly that, personal.

As for the club, fans would batter Levy and the board if they sold him or if they kept him and he left on a a free. They cannot win. I do actually see a scenario where the club feel the player has earnt the right to make his own destiny, call me naive if you want. But i also see a board that can see the inevitable and, rather than sour relationships with Kane, see the need to keep that relationship positive so that if, in the future the opportunity to bring him back as a player or coach becomes available, Kane will not have a negative feeling about the club.

"I don't care who you are, Mr Levy. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for over £120m excluding add ons, I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have is a very specific red car. A specific red car I have acquired over many, many transfers. A specific red car that makes me a nightmare for people like you."

"If you let Harry Kane go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you in my specific red car, I will not pursue you in my red car. But if you don't let Harry Kane go, I will look for him, I will find him and I will drive him away in my specific red car."
