I hate to say it because I love him but he’s a liability. Also he’s used wrongly, he’s not a DM.

The only thing he brings right now is recycling the ball and passion. But he doesn’t win the ball back, awful defensive positioning, can’t progress the ball, doesn’t create (not his job), not physical

I would rather have Skipp than him

He is abit if whipping boy for us fans at the moment isnt he! guess It’s not surprising when his performances have got progressively worse game after game.

I personally think he started to go backwards as a player ever since Potch and now Jose have tried to turn him into a dm. It’s clear for all to see that he isn’t a dm he doesn’t have the game or mentality to play that role. Can see that from the amount of miss timed challenge he makes and silly free kicks he gives away. Think this has also lead to his continous safety first policy When he has the ball as thinks that’s how dm should play..

said it before with winks I just don’t know what type of midfielder he is.. but one things for sure he isn’t a dm and sooner Jose realises this the better.

Other than being club trained and English I can’t think of anything this guy adds?

I really really can’t stand him anymore and it’s really sad I would rather play Harvey white (who will be exactly the same) just like Tom Carroll before winks.

Our academy just produces this type of safe midfielder that doesn’t really do anything.

It’s got so bad I would rather see sissoko play

One of our own is nothing if his ability is not up to standard expected. So many players from academies are shipped out, he's nothing special to not to be done the same.

Will start off by saying he certainly wasn't the only one who was poor today but just do not see it with this guy. Todays game was the kind you'd think he'd be eager use to show the manager what he can do but if anything he is just playing himself further and further away from being in the managers plans imo with this type of nothing performances. Wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho may even be questioning whether he is good enough to be part of the squad at a club like us let alone a first team regular.

Will be turning 25 soon and done what many people won't get to do and play for their boyhood club but do feel it's approaching that time where he should really be operating at a club further down the table.

The title of this thread should be changed to Where's Winksy.! As I'm going to start asking him to wear a red and white top going forward so we know where the fuck he is at all times.

Games like tonight make me look at Winks and wonder what he's actually good at. He's a poor attacker, poor defender and with everything in between he's just pretty average really.

The absolute definition of all style, no substance.

He’s stealing a living playing for us. Absolutely stinks of a West Ham player. Sell first thing in January.

I always get neg reps for saying this but i'm 100% sure Skipp would have broken into the side by now over Winks and Sissoko had he stayed. I know he needs to play but we dropped a bollock loaning him whilst we're playing EL footy. If PEH gets injured our best option is an Ndombele Lo Celso double pivot which would likely be too open and put our top 4 chances in serious doubt.

I think he actively makes the team worse. You cannot have him and Dele on the pitch and expect to play any sort of fluid football.

It's not only those two. I'm creasing at the suggestion from some on here that Sissoko is any better.

Totally agree. They’re the antithesis of positive football. Winks collects the ball, does a few needless spins and completely ignores a forward pass in favour of going back to a defender or sideways to Hojbjerg. When Dele gets the ball in a counter he just stops and fucks about, allowing the opposition to get set defensively.

Both of them need to go. They’re killing us.

Skipp now has an issue at Norwich as he is no longer playing the out and out DM position as Rupp is and he is being asked to play more advanced and make more forward runs which doesn't suit his game at this time. So he may have been better to stay with us.
