Errr yes But then Cole did play 107 times for England....So it was a problem 15 years ago and then hasnt been!

Sorry are you able to read my posts properly?

I'm saying BEFORE Cole there was a problem at left back, jeez some of you people in Spurs chat just like to argue for the sake of arguing.

Can you not remember before Cole came in team the struggles to find any left sided left backs or wingers, i certainly can.

Fucking hell...

I don't think he's Scholes or Modric reborn, but compared to our current CM options, his skill set is desperately required in all games.

I think yesterday shows the problem with not having a midfielder who can pass the ball, which neither Wanyama or Dembele can do.

For me Winks has shown he can do that, so we need to play him.

For the next few games I'd pick him and then one of Wanyama/Dembele/Dier.

I'd drop Alli for a few games, play Winks - Dier/Wanyama behind Son, Eriksen and Dembele. Maybe even drop Dembele for Nkoudou or Sissoko.

Yup I suggested playing Dembele further forwards for the United game so that he doesn't have to worry so much about the defensive side. I reckon he can do some damage in that role but I doubt we'll ever see it.

What I like about Winks is that he can pass into space instead of directly to a player. We are very static in midfield but Winks' passing makes us much more fluid.

We did at the start of last season - it worked.

Then Alli got in the side and Poch hasn't looked back.
