I don't think Winks is good enough for us. But I think its unfair that he gets trashed while many still defends Ndombele. I think Ndombele has been slightly better than Winks, but I don't get why some people still have that much faith in him. Sure from time to time he does some fancy things, but overall he's a big disappointment.

I feel this is a real watershed moment for Winks and his he reacts to it will form his career. This should have been his time, a moment when both the national team and spurs are desperately weak in midfield and in need of a creative spark, yet he has completely regressed.
He needs to move on and relearn his trade in a team that can play week in week out.

I think there just needs to be an acceptance that he’s not a Carrick or even a Huddlestone, he’s a Mark Noble or a Wilshere. He’ll find his feet in the bottom half of the table I’m sure.
Ahh Big Tommy. I loved him. Sure he had his limitation but he had football inteligence and very good technique. Great passer. 3 times a player Winks is.

Spot on. He does get criticised, but NDom is younger and has far more ability than Winks. Neither has had a good time of late, but there have been far more positives from MN than from Winks.

Is Winks the bad influence in the dressing room, leaking 'unrest stories' to the media or is it Dele, as quite a few are suggesting?

Well he’s a rat as we all know now but you still get the odd poster either defending the waste of space or throwing their toys out of the pram when he gets criticism!

i think he’s probably better than Carroll, but it’s hard to overly compare when Carroll got nowhere near as much of a chance.
