25m would be good for him. Thought he looked bright enough in the two friendlies so far all be it against Orient and Colchester. Might be to do with Nuno looking for more progressive passing from that deep role but he has definitely been looking for earlier passes. Looking forward to seeing Hojbjerg or Skipp in that role.

Come on Rafa I'm on my kneeeeees

I'll drive him to finch farm for £25m

(In all seriousness, Winksy is proper Spurs. Just feel a fresh start for him benefits everyone)

I know petrol costs a lot these days, but £25m seems a bit excessive for that sort of journey....

Don’t want to be disrespectful to Winks but think it’s best for all parties if he moves on. With PEH, Skipp, Ndombele and GLC we have 4 midfielders who are all better than him, then if you add Harvey White and Nile John, who have both impressed, then it makes sense to move on both him and Sissoko in the next couple of weeks.

| @FabrizioRomano on Harry Winks : “It is a possibility for Everton, we will see in the next few days.”
Everton, Leeds, Soton, West Ham, Wolves... all seem like a very good fit for Winks. Hope he gets the move he wants. It's best for both parties. As I can't see him being a full-time starter with us anymore. He needs a home where he can rebuild his confidence, and be starting 90% of the time. Perhaps it could even be a path back to the England team. Sad to see him leave, as he had/has so much potential. But during the past two seasons he stagnated, to the extent that he has gotten worse. Unfortunately, the same could be said for Dele as well.

Few on Twitter are saying winks is refusing to move anywhere. Wants to stay.

Even though he’s a spurs fan, he needs to realise that his time at the club us at an end.

Going off to the press etc when he’s played poorly for 2 seasons isn’t going to help you.

He needs to think of his career and move on to play regularly.

I would sincerely hope Harry's agent would read between the lines and advise the lad to move on. I completely understand his desire to stay but it definitely seems the writing is on the wall regarding his future at Spurs. Best for everyone for him to seek fresh fields and if the Everton interest turns into an actual offer then both club and agent should do everything possible to make it happen.

Not sure I believe that. Wasn't he angling for a move last summer and saying that if he doesn't start he needs to be playing because he wants to get into the England team.

Surely, if Nuno has told him he won't feature much and it's better to move on he's not going to want to stick around and sit on the bench.

He should move to Fulham.

Boss it in the Championship week in and week out, building his confidence back up.

Plus there's a very good chance to play PL football again in 22/23.

And he gets to stay in London, so it doesn't uproot his life massively.

That said, if Everton are genuinely offering him a decent deal then that would be great too.

The problem is, like all players, you need game time to build up form and at 25yrs he should be a regularly in someone's first XI by now. Would Everton guarantee him a starting place? Not sure.

This would be beyond annoying.

Fulham would be an awful move, imagine they didn’t go up, then what?
I know he’s been poor last season or 2 but seeing some suggest he’s a championship player is laughable

No chance he would drop a division. The problem with Winks is he thinks he is good enough to start for us. I think he would be tempted by a move to someone like Everton especially with Townsend there now. He will think he is good enough at least for a mid to top of the table team.

I do think his progression halted with his ankle problems. A lot was said about Kane not being the same with his ankle problems. I think Winks has suffered worse though. Kane seems to have adapted his game better and with his size he has strengthened more to hold up the ball. Winks is just a lot more limited and gets overrun in midfield.

He already has one assist for West Ham from last season to start with.

Winks would be a very typical Everton signing. They're absolutely determined to nail down that 10th place spot for the next few years.

He is the type of player we desperately need to move on to free up a squad place and raise cash.

Winks, whether he can appreciate/accept it or not, has simply run his course at Spurs. In his head he might think that having a new manager in place will give him another reprieve, a chance to impress, but it shouldn't and hopefully won't. The guy is 'fine' (just) but has stagnated massively and he might not believe it but a move to somewhere new could galvanise him in a way that he didn't even know he needed.

I read the “Happy to fight for his place” as “I need X to offer me more money”; he must know he has no future with us, surely!
