Today certainly wasn’t boring. Having Kulusevski back is of course a massive help, and Richarlison guarantees we have some aggression and bite in the front line.

I guess conceding first every game and having to chase it is entertaining in a way…

Conteball has never been super negative at his other teams, it’s usually a ‘balanced’ style.

For parts of todays game and 2nd half vs Liverpool and back end of last season we see how a functioning conte team plays football and it’s perfectly nice.

I think we need players back from injury, 2-3 more transfer windows and we’ll look a different beast.

As much as I really rate and like conte, at times i would say that his subs can be a little overly cautious.

But today 4-3 that’s a proper ‘Spurs’ score line :)

Conte is the new Ossie. Doubt whether we have conceded so many goals in every game since then. Can’t wait until we have seven forwards instead of seven defenders will be nine or ten goals a game ?

Don't hound out a decent manager FFS. We'll end up with a right shitter if we get rid of Conte. Let him build the team and get players fit.

Yes, we have become risk averse. Sad to see and the opposite of 'To Dare is to Do'. The manager is persisting with back 3 and wingbacks without the players to fit the system. Surely best to use a system that works until suitable players are brought in?

Yes, because its a reflection of the board's recruitment policy to focus on players who thrive on the break.
This means we are short in quality on the ball. We are scared of an opposition's press, which is why our defenders are committing so many mistakes. You become boring when you can't consistently produce in posession, as a team.

I think this also explains why we start games slowly. Our team knows that they suck on the ball so they just hope to keep everything solid and tight, and for our forwards to do their thing up front. This always backfires because everyone has figured us out; press and play a high-line, then the spurs team shape will drop deeper and deeper and eventually a mistake will occur.

We look better once we concede because we are then forced to gamble, so the fear of losing goes out of the window.
