JJ has said earlier that it's very doutful whether he can pass a medical due to his knee problems.

I think it's pretty obvious to all of us who watch Spurs regularly, that he's not even half the player he was before his serious knee-injury.

Of course we should be looking to get rid if possible with his chronic injury, but it's hard to accept, thinking what could have been.

He was easily the best DM in the league in that 16/17 season. Him and Dembele were such an excellent CM pairing, and I don't remember a single game were we didn't control the midfield.

The problem with a loan, as I see it, is that if he stays here we could possibly keep him somewhat fit as an emergency plan. If he goes to Boreaux and gets crocked they'll send him straight back to us.
