Uefa will take no action against Tottenham Hotspur's Tom Huddlestone after the midfielder appeared to elbow the FC Twente forward Marc Janko in the face during their Champions League match last week.
Janko had claimed that Huddlestone deliberately "smashed his arm into my face" and left him with a nosebleed while the pair tussled in the Group A game at White Hart Lane.
Huddlestone was not punished over the incident at the time – indeed he was being fouled by Janko when it occurred and the free-kick went the other way.
Uefa agreed to gather more information on the incident after the game, including looking at video footage and interviewing the officials. There were fears that were Huddlestone to be charged and banned over the matter, he could miss Spurs' double-header with the holders Internazionale, however the matter will not be pursued by the governing body.
