Bbc saying Levy has convinced him to return as head scout. He was about to sign with arsenal.

I know JJ is a big Broomfield fan and I even suspected he might be his son something at one point. As for Suarez, JJ has always maintained that was Harry listening to "friends" not scouts!

Interesting. Very interesting. We haven't bought particularly well the last couple of years.

I'm not sure we bought particularly well when Broomfield was here first time round. Considering he was 'Arry's man it seemed like Broomfield had his list of suggestions, Redknapp had his favourites/targets he wanted and Levy had his own list and we got to a stage where we had a lot of opinions, a lot of targets, a lot of discussions and in the end not much happening.

Add Baldini to the mix this time and it could be even more convoluted...

His suggestions seemed to be good and Levy going back is like conceding defeat that maybe he was wrong

From what I recall he noticed Sandro, and suggested Damiao and Oscar from the same club. He also put forward Suarez didn't he(?)... But his opinion never seemed to hold much sway overall.

Maybe with the benefit of hindsight Levy has recognised he had a valuable opinion and eye for talent. Lets hope so.

JJ alluded to what you just said and iirc he left last season after the summer transfer window, so that window wasn't bad considering that we had players sewn up and no managers

I hope Baldini's offski, mpickard2087. Looks a joker to me.
