We can confirm that Destiny Udogie has undergone surgery to his left quadriceps, having sustained an injury in training earlier this week.

The defender will continue his rehabilitation with our medical staff and is expected to rejoin the squad during pre-season.

Could be something that will take 3 months to get back to training and we want him fit from the off for our title tilt next season

That's awful for him and the team given the run we have during the rest of the season. Ben to step in.

So much for a stress free weekend from spurs!

Gutted as he has been brilliant this season and it shouldn't have finished for him this way.

Shit !! That's not good at all. We have a tough run as it is anyway, gutted and hope he's back and with us ready for next season.

Trying to look for a positive, maybe if Ben comes in he will at least offer us a better at spotting Timo's runs and playing an earlier ball.

It's the one side of Udogie that could do with improving.

I think we all love Udogie, but if we are being honest, we all probably feel he's been a bit off his game and at fault for several goals lately. So in the short term we might actually be a little bit harder to 'get at' down that side of the pitch - which is no bad thing given the games we have coming up. Note: this is in no way suggesting Destiny isn't a good defender, or that Ben Davies is a better player, i'm merely pointing out he hasn't been quite at his best for a while and we have shipped goals regularly down that flank !

Trust in Ben! He usually plays well when he fills in. Hasn't got the pace, but a solid defender.
