Once due diligence is done I doubt we go anywhere near Toney personally.
Dam I would have thought with the ban we might go in for him and get a reduction on the transfer fee due to it

Another v.decent player that the selling club would demand an absolutely absurd fee for.

Villa have big ambitions so the only way he'd be remotely affordable is if he doesn't sign a new deal and Villa are forced to sell next summer.
I felt we should have bought him as Kane back up when Villa signed him. Callum Wilson was a similar opportunity overlooked. Too late now I think . Buying contracted players in the PL is fairly ridiculous. Look at Caceido. At least we did well with Madison.

Problem with signing Watkins, Wilson or any decent striker as a backup to Kane is that they didn't want to play second fiddle to a world class striker that was never rotated.

If we'd signed Watkins 3 or 4 years ago he would've left by now due to lack of minutes.

Lack of minutes would also have made it difficult to find any proper rhythm. So he probably would have left due to lack of game time and us deeming his below the required standard.

I had it on in the background. It is guff. Never heard him once talk about him gambling with any sense of contrition.

He also speaks highly of arsenal 😷🤢

Yeah im part way through and he doesnt seem to be taking any responsibility. I feel like he still isnt really telling the truth which is a major red flag for any potential transfer.

I can forgive the gambling, people make mistakes, everyone is human, but liking arsenal is a simply too big a hurdle to try and get past.
