Just read his latest comments in his interview with Sky. I find it impossible to like the fella. Brentford have stuck by him and he’s not even waited until he’s back on the pitch for them before he’s essentially issuing a public ‘come and get me’ plea to bigger clubs.

Given his apparent arrogance and lack of self-awareness I’d have zero faith in him to keep his nose clean in future. Just strikes me as the sort who will never acknowledge his own shortcomings - on or off the pitch.

I think him posting this is fine. This can almost be a bit of banter.

But then on the same day having that Sky interview go out as well which pretty much all but said 'I want to play at a big club and not Brentford' is just such a dick move and shows you all you need to know about his character

He is 27. He hasnt got the entire career in front of him.

He could quite easily go to Chelsea. Struggle and then be back at a lower PL club with his tail between his legs.

Then he will be 30 and the majority of clubs will make a hard pass.

If he was in his early 20s, people may way he was young and ill-advised. But at this age he will be done.

Sure, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the post itself. Just shows a lack of contrition and his character in general. You'd think he'd be better saying nothing and letting his football do the talking

Weird thing for me is that I can't believe any of this stuff is endearing him to potential suitors either. Most clubs want their players to be making headlines on the pitch and nowhere else. I'm guessing that he probably isn't the sharpest tool in the box.

EDIT: The other weird thing is that if he'd just done the "Gambling's an addiction, I'm so glad I got the help I needed and now i want to help others with this addiction" stuff he could potentially have come out of this whole business smelling of roses and with his reputation enhanced.
