You can probably get the same money as a youth teamer with them as you can being a break out star with us. In the unlikely event of getting game time at one of those clubs you'll earn more than our best earners. Tough decision in that respect.
Given what he's supposedly been offered at City, his leaving wouldn't be particularly about money

Pinch of salt but... my mate is manager at a supermarket chain in London and his latest inductee was none other than Jadon's sister.

According to her, he's deffo signing a £30k a week pro deal at City.

Depressing stuff. It's getting hold of the best kids and developing them that's our best chance for keeping up with the big boys. Was hopeful we might snap this guy up from City :(

£30k per week for a first professional contract.

No way we'll compete with that.

We seem to be finding ourselves in this strange no mans land where we can't pinch young talent (Sessegnon, Sancho) but we can't attract the big players.

If he's more interested in the money than a path to first team football, then we would never have competed with city or chelski anyway. Wish him luck on his lengthy string of loans before transferring to Villa or Watford in a few years...

Really think they should be capping players or implementing some kind of Entry Level Contract...

I'm a big Hockey fan and in the NHL, young players that are drafted can't earn more than I believe $925,000 a year, whilst on an Entry Level Contract, which granted is still mad money...but I think the FA should implement some kind of Cap for U21's, that way, all the teams can compete for the young talents...

Shame to miss out on Sancho, but if he is going to make just over 1.5 million a year at City, which is money that we simply can't/won't offer to a kid...

At least we are retaining young talent and developing some of the best. Kwp, Edwards, onomah and winks might actually get a chance to make it.

also for what it's worth to go along with the new article about him rejecting the contract - he has been left off the man city tour of the states and has deleted everything of man city off his instagram

Jack Pitt-Brooke is a pretty well-regarded journalist, can't imagine that he would just make it up. Also he's a Man City fan so may have some inside knowledge.

That being said, can't imagine he would come to us. We wouldn't be in his league for wages. May join the exodus abroad - can see a German club taking him or something.
