Perhaps a loan deal would have been best for all parties. Janssen would have got enough game time to prove whether he can make it in this league and we would have retained ownership for the time being.

Call me an optimist.... but I still believe that VJ has more to offer than what he has shown us to date.

I hope you're right. Might be interesting to see him play on the right of a forward three, cutting in like lamela

I think it would have been a good move for him, but fair play to him if he wants to fight for his place.

You think hes still gonna get 2 minutes here and there?

We,ve got a lot of games to play this season. I think he'll get a few run outs (domestic cups etc), but as I said, I think he'd have gained a lot of experience at Brighton and we'd have been better able to assess his progress.

He will learn of both Kane, Llorente and Poch and the mgmnt team. I have a good feeling that with the right nurturing we have a future star.
IMHO he has made the right decision to stay.

Good, I'm glad. We strengthened our strike force with Llorente, but selling Janssen still left us with 2. Of course we all believe Llorente will offer more immediately, but if he or Kane pick up a serious injury we are back to just 1 without Vinny. Yes we have Son, but given we didn't get a WF over the line means he is likely needed elsewhere. If we are to offload Vinny I would want a replacement in. Hope he gets at least some chance to prove himslef though as I like his attitude.
