Harry will be aiming higher than the Europa League (maybe) and the Carling Cup.

The author is a kid who describes himself as "a football journalist based in London who has covered the Premier League and European and world game for ESPN FC, the Independent, the Irish Examiner, FourFourTwo, the Blizzard and pretty much anyone else who will pay me."

I'm sure his in depth knowledge of Mourinho's situation and plans for Manchester United are based on his fireside chats with Mourinho combined with deep research into transfer market alternatives such as Ibrahimovic, Sturridge and Lukaku.

I'd have thought the new manager there would be concerned about the likes of Rooney and De Gea wanting to move to champions league clubs like Leicester and Celtic.

I'm pretty sure that just means he has both the Sky Sports package and BT Sports.

Good job we are not playing Utd anytime soon as this would be really unsettling "news". Oh wait.

For £60M we should let Mourinho talk to Kane.

For another £600M we might even consider letting him buy him.

I remember when The Independent was launched as a quality, independent newspaper, but what the hell happened? If this article is anything to go on it's become just another red-top/DM click whore. The boy who wrote this needs his face punched, though not by me. I don't do that sort of thing.

In the April issue of WSC, they quote a piece from the Manchester Evening News where a ManU spokesman revealed that it was possible that Rooney could be sold to China, but only if ManU could find a replacement "acceptable to ManU's corporate sponsors". What a way to build a football team....

Miguel Delaney should be ashamed of this.

It has no basis in reality - ie, Mourinho is not the manager (yet) and Man Utd have a manager. Kane is a Spurs player, a Spurs lad and has been linked away before but always countered with 'while Spurs insist he is not for sale'.

Isn't that the end of it, then? someone who is not the manager of any club says he will target a player of another club who is not for sale. What a load of bollocks.

If you read this on tribalfootball or something you'd think 'ah fair enough... clickbait', but the Independent?! No wonder they are closing down, but if they are focusing on digital with this sort of shit they should close that down as well. Just go full Daily Mail with ads and related content linking to pics of some celeb with her tits out on holiday, instead.

What is mourinho going to do with Kane? Have him wash his car and cut his grass?
And did Chelsea pay him 60m to sack him this time?

Not to sound too pompous (among other clubs' supporteres), but just like in Leicester's case, anyone even remotely contemplating leaving this club is clinically insane and therefor a liability in the dressing room. We have a top atmosphere int he dressing room, a top manager, top chairman, one of the best financial situations in European football, a new stadium on the way. Oh, yes, and are battling for the title.
If anyone WANTS to leave that, they're welcome to. And 60 million is a joke anyway! English, young, and top scorer ATM...? it's twice that and that's on Levy's good day.

Let's put this into perspective.
Gareth Bale scored 42 PL goals in 6 seasons and was sold to a FOREIGN club for £98 million.
Harry Kane has scored 42 PL goals in TWO seasons.
Do the media really think we would sell him to a PL rival for £60 million?!?!?
He would cost nearly double that.
