If Jose starts with Ndombele and GLC in midfield for our next game, then I hope we win 10-0. That will show Jose that the fans knew what our best midfield duo should have been all along.
Oh thats just a classic.

Brilliant.

Mate we wasn't getting anywhere near top four this year with poch either there is quite a bit of work to do, but he will get us closer to it than most will you don't win 20 trophies by being shit or lucky.
Agreed Poch time was up.
Mourhino might win something but any half decent team has been playing us off the park.
I dont see us wining anythjng myself and quite happy to be proven wrong.
All I see is 6 defenders punting the ball forward and hoping 1 of 4 attackers scoring.
I gotta say I was expecting a bit more for 15 million a year.

I am all for mixing our game up so the occasional long ball is fine by me but maybe we should wait until January is over to see if 1/2 come in.

Don't think you're far off tbh, it's not even a Jose thing people just have agendas on here against certain players and managers past and present, it's just pathetic.
Who am I talking down to and why have you took exception to my post?

Also what is the point of debating with people who have already made their mind up?
Poster's are allowed opinions mate.
Calling them opinions pathetic isn't on.

You’re right, but I think some of us are worried that his best days are behind him. He won stuff at United but the football was grim to watch and he didn’t get close to the big prizes, the PL or CL. Either way, we’ll find out. Whatever happens I think he’ll be given time

Imagine us not getting close to the big prizes, we'll just have to make do with a Carabao Cup and a Europa League, can't be spoiling our illustrious recent history now can we :p

I am allowed to call out those with agendas though aren't I and I haven't even quoted anyone, you seem to have taken exception to my post though so you're basically admitting you have an agenda, not a good look.

It's funny because all these years we've seen you cheerleading Lamela and calling people out for the same thing.

Jose's dog died yesterday. First time I've felt a shred of empathy for him on a human level

Feels weird.

Shame though ? I think people can underestimate the pain of dog loss

That’s fair enough, if you’re happy getting in a manager specifically to win those trophies. I’ll celebrate along with everyone else. But Poch aimed for the PL and CL. Winning one of those would change us as a club.

What do you think is the strongest case that can be built against Mourinho at this stage?

But we didn't win anything under Poch, Jose already said that we can win the league next year.

Not sure about you but a cup, any cup would be great for us and a good luck start to bigger things.

Correct but I've debated those opinions and my reasons why I think Lamela is an asset.
I'm debating why I don't like Mourhinos tactics and which is hardly an agenda.

Yeah I get the “bigger things” argument, and winning is a habit. But look how many times the goons have won the FA Cup in the last 10 years. And they’re still a shitshow. Winning one of the biggies is all that counts in the end

The thing with making any judgments without him having a summer transfer window and pre-season are quite frankly ludicrous.

As much as i loved what Poch did for us, we have been left with a really unbalanced squad and we have new signings that are taking a while to bed in, which is usually case. We have some key players nearing the end of contracts, on top of that a team that for all the plaudits they received during Poch reign, have zero silverware to show for it.

He has come into a real cluster fuck of a team and with a set of fans who have just seen us reach the Champions league final, just moved into one of the worlds most beautiful stadium and actually spent money which could have been used in other areas. It's lose lose currently with our expectations probably at the highest they have ever been, matched with a team that's a bit exhausted and likely fed up of being the nearly men. That's a huge expectation for Jose to come in and make it all great.

What he has done so far, it's better than i expected. I pretty confident he will steady the ship this year and push on once he has 6 months at the helm.

Patience is key right now, he isn't one of the most successful managers the world has seen for zero reason. I think his reputation has earned him 6 months before the daggers come out.

Great post btw.
The problem here is some fans have such short memories, his 'reputation' as far as a lot of fans on here are concerned is not being able to replicate what Ferguson achieved at United...those 20 trophies that he's won are just ignored for some weird reason.
