The wife of Martial is complaining that because Mourhino was not picking him on a regular basis it was affecting her marriage because of his moods when not picked ,. Therein lies the reason he was not picked often as it sounds like his wife is fighting his battles . what a wimp .

I know we were forced into changes today but I do like the teams and benches that Jose is picking aside from the midfield pivots but he’s been forced into dier/winks/sissoko as ndombele etc not been fit.

I like that he’s keeping a settled back 4 and dropping rose out of the squad altogether and not playing Eriksen unless needed and generally playing the same formation, all the opposite to what poch was doing towards the end of his tenure which ultimately was a big factor in our big drop in form constantly changing the formation and line ups etc.

Those slating this performance and Jose, just remember we hadn’t even won away in about 6months or something like that before Jose came in and we’d got 25 points from our last 25 games! Since Jose has taken over he’s won 5 out of 7 in the league. Im not loving the football but Jose has taken over mid season so no time to properly coach them and our squad is a fucking mess mate, Norwich also beat man.city at home and gave the other top 6 boys a real game this was never going to be easy.

I think we can still turn this round, very tough job for Jose and results are key at the moment which he’s been getting. This match is also far from over and he’s taking off Foyth so no messing around, he clearly knows the issues we have but isn’t saying it in public as he needs to get the players on side and give them confidence.

I’ve always felt this but never wanted to say it because I wanted to give him a proper chance but Mourinho has become a yes man. Poch was onto Levy all the time, telling him we need to rebuild this team but the board did fuck all
Mourinho was desperate to get a second chance that he didn’t care that Levy told him he won’t get a big transfer budget in January, that’s why Jose said he was so happy with his squad and don’t need new players
I’ve said this so long before, no matter who the manager is we need new players. Some of the fans, the board and players acted disgracefully towards Poch when it wasn’t his fault, he worked miracles with us

I’m not blaming Mourinho for our bad performances but he won’t succeed with us without spending money on a DM, midfielder and fullbacks, no way will he achieve anything with us without these signings and it’s not his fault
Without a true DM Alli and Eriksen has to play a lot deeper last season that’s why they weren’t as good as before. Even today look how deep Ndombele and Eriksen was

Cut it out with the fucking long balls. Once again killed us in the first half and led to soo many cheap give aways.

Yeah, he's not a yes man. Not a hope. His tune will change, whether Levy has planned for that, who knows.

So far he’s a yes man and will probably be the same in January. He doesn’t want to be in Levy bad book yet

He cannot change the squad right now, simple as. Part of Poch's issue was talking up the rebuild when the players are still here and required to perform.

Personally I’m just hoping Jose is playing the game saying the right things (that current squad is good enough as is) to try and get maximum out of what he has with a view to bringing in some stealthy signings.

I never feel it’s a good idea for a manager to come out and say we NEED new signings as he won’t have any until at least January so needs to get results with what he has.

Also, I think it’s best not to alienate ANY of the players as you’ll never know when they’ll be an injury crisis and you need them...

Always feel it’s daft when you hear reports of some managers only talking to the players in the side and ignoring ones who are not. Even if you think they are shit you should never let them know this, keep the knowledge and power of this knowledge to yourself and don’t reveal your cards too easily.

So, to sum up what we've learned recently:
  • Playing all our defensive midfielders at once doesn't work
  • Playing all our attacking midfielders at once doesn't work
  • Playing our midfielder who neither attacks nor defends, AKA Winks, doesn't work
  • Dier can't even defend his centre circle well
  • Aurier doesn't work. Like, at all
  • Ndombele works very well
  • Alli continues to not be Messi
  • Moura continues to run with the ball until he reaches the box, whereupon he optimistically kicks it at the defenders' legs
  • Rose might not play for us again
  • Jan looks past it, sadly

Still surprised people are blaming Jose for this. Poch left us in this mess.

- no win away since January 2019
- summer signings not integrated fully into the team
- loss the dressing room
- almost the worst league form in the league during 2019.

We’re not good but we’ve improved since Jose turned up and that’s without any real time to coach the players due to so many games.
