Fair enough I got that wrong but why are you so keen to belittle Mourinho winning things? Have to be honest and say that it’s really odd. Mourinho won two tournaments with a terrible Man U side which is 2 more than Poch has ever won. Give the guy credit where it’s due.

If you don’t like his personality then fair enough but dumbing down his achievements is quite frankly stupid and will make people react negatively to your comments.

because he is arrogant, sexist, and only done it with millions thrown at it. Yep he won the CL with Porto and Inter, but both leagues with top teams in their league

I hate his style of football and hate the way he treats players if they have a bad game

Cool, be miserable for the sake of your stubbornness, your choice.

It's gonna be funny watching you celebrate goals only to act like you don't care when people notice you celebrating.

The original point was about whether or not Jose was going to need to spend. And if we don't spend that he would complain about it.

I don't know why, me not thinking he's going to of changed somehow means I'm not allowed to celebrate goals. And it be "miserable" to make a judgement based on what Jose has done in the past. Based on the facts of his previous tenures.

You honestly don't think he's not going to come in and want to spend 70 mill each on a left back, right back, centre back and defensive mid? The icing on the cake will likely be when we do spend 140 mill on filling a couple of those positions. And THEN he complains about the ones we don't fill... And if you actually dig into some of the recruitment he was involved in, especially at United, he doesn't nail it every time when he spends big, far from it. And where will that leave us?

Voicing these concerns, does not mean I'm not going to go to matches and celebrate when we score. I'm not gonna let Jose take that from me, nor should anyone. But this is a football forum, so me saying there's cause for concern because of the lack of resources we have and the obvious rebuilding that's needing and we're bringing in a manager known for spending big to get short term success is perfectly reasonable.

I really have to laugh at some of you morons, who the fuck do you think you are to question mourinho managing us, like we're some sort of godly side that is too good for him. We've just been dicked by half of the utter drivel in this league.

He's a huge statement for us and a fantastic appointment. As with any manager, he'll have my full support, that's because I support Tottenham Hotspur.

No need to call people morons.

Very interested to see the team he picks for Saturday.
Have a feeling Dier will be back in the DM role??
Mourinho plays 4231 IIRC??

Some of you have a wee moral issue with hiring Mourinho.

Aww bless.

No wonder we've such a weak mentality running through the Club.

Winners fuck the prom Queen not wee nice guys in the corner.

Yeah nice one.

So only ****s have a winning mentality?

I woudn't have an issue with Klopp, Pep, Guardiola, Conte etc... as they haven't done anything as outwardly dickish as Mourinho. Sorry if having morals is such an outdated concept in todays society.

Firstly, nobody is moron.
Secondly, just because some people haven't drunk the media coolade on the "serial winner" stuff when if you actually look at where Jose has been and what he has spent and how he's left clubs after he's left doesn't mean people think we're "too good" for him. If anything, people are saying we're not good enough for him, there's good arguments we don't have the resources to support him, especially during the rebuilding phase that's needed. He's a very good manager, one of the best, but with the very top sides with huge amounts of cash. He's untested at lower levels since he was at Porto. The concerns people have are easily justified.

Thoughts on Ericsson's future? Personally i don't think much will change, he's still going for a small fee in Jan or nothing in summer. But i'm unsure what Mourinho's approach to these situations is. Will he just freeze him out? I don't think Jose is one to put up with bullshit.

Would be extremely surprised to see Vertonghen and Alderweireld leave now, typical Mourinho CB's. Sanchez is ripe for molding too, along with Foyth and Sess.

I think many Mourinho myths have been presented on SC over the last weeks and many of them were bullshit.
Mourinho would never join Tottenham, it's too small of a club
Mourinho would never join Tottenham, he needs plenty of cash for players
Mourinho would never join Tottenham, he would demand too much salary
Mourinho would never join Tottenham, he couldn't work with Levy
Mourinho would never join Tottenham, because here is some bullshit pulled out of an arse

And now, the predominant myth is "the football will be so bad, I hate that Mourinho football".
I say to you, we don't actually KNOW that. Yes I remember a few matches in the past in which he did play very slow, defence heavy. I think even Mourinho himself would say that's true.
But I think it is wrong to categorically say that the football will be bad with this Tottenham team. Before we know more about how he thinks he has evolved as a manager, we can't actually reach any conclusion.

What I am looking forward to is better tactics and less possession just for the sake of it. In the past, Mourinho liked his teams to exploit errors in the opponent, and I hope to see that.

It's not "having morals", it's "virtue signalling". Which is exactly what you're doing.
