Until somebody comes forward with that then those suggesting it are getting themselves worked up over nothing. I don't see why Jose wouldn't or shouldn't have all our support.
Mate there are some who were so opposed to him becoming our manager that they've stopped going to games while he's in the job.
There's no logic to that, that's putting your own feelings infront of your love of the club.

IMO these kind of fans would rather he failed and left asap...the bitterness by some on here at his appointment was frankly unhealthy, anyone would think we'd appointed Sol Campbell.

Mourinho still have a long way to go before this team is better than Pochettino's team from 16/17. But his 19/20 team is already better than Pochettino's 19/20. Doesn't necessarily make him a better manager, but Pochettino lost it at Spurs. Klopp did the same at Dortmund etc. It happens.

Will Mourinho take us further than Pochettino? If he keeps on being this happy and reasonable as he is at the moment I see no reason why not.

Yeah that is embarrassing whatever way you look at it. I think they'll be left disappointed, I think we're the right size for him in terms of task and it will be more akin to Port/Inter than anywhere else except there's no big job waiting once he achieves success. Couple that with the fact that his family wanted him to get a job in London, we're the perfect fit.

All this Poch vs Mou talk is utterly pointless. The fact is Poch was a superb manager and we all love the guy for what he did for our club and the fact he was a loveable guy.

At the same time, considering we are all spurs fans, we want Mourinho to be even more superb and take us to the next level and bring some silverware through the door.

The two of them should not be compared, Poch should be remembered for all the good work and Mou should have our support, that’s it.

Perhaps BUT the one thing Poch didn’t do unfortunately is get us over the line for a trophy so in that sense they can be compared IF Jose can win something with us. But as you say Poch did an incredible job to build us to this point and hopefully Jose can continue his good work.

Well put mate.

And we support Spurs first and foremost.

Okay?? Jose has Lo Celso, Gedson and Bergwijn? What's your point? Because the statement was Poch couldn't do it without Kane which is blatantly not true, even last season which was poor and papered over by the CL run, Poch still got 6 wins out 9 without Kane and without a in form dier and Eriksen

Even if Poch had Gedson and Bergwin they probably wouldn't have started til next season!

Given circumstances, I think he’s done really well. Squad seems far more united since he came in too. Only care about results this season, will judge performance level/playing style next season once he’s had two windows to bring in players and a pre season to work with at least some of the boys.

Beating Man city and Ajax to get to a CL final no less
Highly spurious statement to say poch couldn't get results without Kane

Poch had a couple of good runs without Kane.

Poch’s problem was he couldn’t get results this season, end of last season with or without Kane. Hence why he got sacked

If Jose can replicate what Poch was doing at his best, then surely there’s not much of an issue?

It might not be pretty, but it's pretty effective.

Now that is impressive. Before Mourinho arrived we were in danger of descending into the relegation dogfight. I love Poch and what he did for us but you also have to admire what Mourinho has achieved since arriving particularly bearing in mind the injury crisis which has descended on the club.

We really do lack a proper leader. An on pitch leader who drags the rest of the team up. Lloris is not that, and neither is Kane. Alderweireld isn't either. I would not be surprised to see us buy a really commanding CB in the summer.

Mourinho now has 20 games under his belt for us, so here is a comparison of his results with Pochettino's results from his last 20 games in charge.

Jose:
P20 W11 D4 L5 [Win % = 55%]

Poch:
P20 W5 D7 L8 [Win % = 25%]

Jose Results:
PL: Villa-A = W
FA: Soton-H = W
PL: Man C-H = W
FA: Soton-A = D
PL: Norwich-H = W
PL: Watford-A = D
FA: Middlesbrough-H = W
PL: Liverpool-A = L
FA: Middlesbrough-A = D
PL: Soton-A = L
PL: Norwich-A = D
PL: Brighton-H = W
PL: Chelsea-H = L
PL: Wolves-A = W
CL: Bayern-A = L
PL: Burnley-H = W
PL: Man U-A = L
PL: Bournemouth-H = W
PL: Olympiakos-H = W
PL: West Ham-A = W

Poch Results:

PL: Sheff Utd-H = D
CL: Red Star-A = W
PL: Everton-A = D
PL: Liverpool-A = L
PL: Watford-H = D
PL: Brighton-A = L
CL: Bayern-H = L
PL: Soton-H = W
LC: Colchester-A = L*
PL: Leicester-A = L
CL: Olympiakos-A = D
PL: Palace-H = W
PL: Arsenal-A = D
PL: Newcastle-H = L
PL: Man City-A = D
PL: Villa-H = W
CL: Liverpool-N = L
PL: Everton-H = D
CL: Ajax-A = W
PL: Bournemouth-A = L

* Was a draw but we lost on penalties, and as it was a knock out cup competition I counted this as a loss.

It is ok to think Pochettino did a great job for us, but could’ve done a bit more and ultimately was on the decline, and also be excited by Mourinho’s good start and the potential for where he can take us, right?
