Inter milan was the last time he overachieved with a team. The trophies he won with the worlds two richest clubs were not very impressive.
Hilarious.

How can you say his Championship win with Madrid was not impressive?? They had to overcome the world's best team at the time and one of the best to ever exist. In the process they had to amass 100+ points to do it.

Are you a football fan or an accountant? I couldn’t give a monkeys what’s been spent, I love Poch but apart from giving us a consistent Top 4 finish, he won us nothing, whilst Utd went on to win 2 trophies and finish above us on 1 occasion.

The fact Utd spent £200m after Mourinho left is a pointless argument. I’d actually argue that Poch has left us in a similar position of desperately needing a refresh after refusing targets.

I cannot understand the frustration people have with Mourinho. Yes he might play “boring” football, but quite frankly I’m bored of not winning anything. I’ll happily take 3 years of Mourinhos way with a real chance of winning something, than another “project” manager.

Give the man who has won trophies at every club he has been at, longer than half a season before you judge him. If it does all in end in tears, so what? Doesn’t every manager departure end in that way anyway?

Just responding to the poster above who says Josh has done pretty well with building a squad everywhere else he has been.

Perhaps you couldn't give a monkey's what's been spent, but it makes a difference to THFC. You talk about Mourinho winning trophies at every club he has been at, but aside from Porto he has had a huge transfer kitty to do so. He isn't going to get that here.

Can he win us a trophy without the money to spend, that's a fair point to consider.

Nothing is black and white, I haven't asked for Mourinho to be sacked, I've just responded to a poster to give a slightly different opinion, which is surely the purpose of the Forum.

As I’ve said recently given time I think Jose could be fairly successful results wise and I’m willing to give him a full season to try and win us a trophy but as much as I’m an admirer of his past achievements I’m not sure how long term I could personally stand watching such negative unambitious football.

if that’s just in games vs top 6 to get us results then fine but if it’s similar vs mid table and lower teams then that’s not for me and I can’t imagine the likes of Kane and dele and son etc would enjoy having one chance a game, football is about winning but you have to enjoy it too and I do worry that if we play so negatively too often, just how long will the players put up with that.

just an observation as I think the tactics were effective yesterday to some extent but it’s really so tough to watch, quite a dilemma.

Don't worry mate these lot will soon wake up and see how rapidly we are regressing under this dinosaur and his "hoof ball" tactics. All the excuses were out for him prior to lock down regarding injuries/fatigue/no time spent together/etc, yet after a mini pre season, rested players, fully fit squad and time to think of tactics we still stink the place out.

Launching the ball to Kane's head, sitting back and trying to defend a fortuitous lead and players treating the ball like a hot potato is the Jose way. His whole ideology is "if you don't have the ball then you can't make a mistake' neagtive BS. Levy has royally fucked up appointing this mug thinking a change of voice would get the best out of this squad hence qualification for the CL. Well 7 months on we're a total shambles under this mug with fans now openly saying we need wholesale change in the squad... exactly what MP was bleating on about since the MUFC FA Cup semi defeat 2 years back. The difference being we now got a manager with no history of team building to do so with little money.

Those twats who were salivating at the thought of this c**t managing us, I hope you're enjoying what you're seeing right now. Suck it up as it's not going to get any better, in fact it'll get toxic!!!

FUCK OFF Mourinho!!!

A more extreme version of my own thoughts.

It's been said, but Jose is a pragmatic manager. UTD have struggled to break teams down that sit back and defend and I thought UTD struggled for large parts of the game to do just that, I was terrified of Martial, James and Rashford before the game as their pace is frightening, but we were compact and i don't remember many times where they tore us apart.

Hopefully we see this "new brand" of football against the Spammers on Wednesday

I think if we play so passively like that against Arsenal, he'll lose a lot more fans that believed he was the correct appointment. That game will make or break his appointment in the eyes of the fanbase I reckon.

Re West Ham, I'm confident of beating them. For one, we have an extra day's rest, which must be a huge advantage in terms of recovery at this stage of this mini season.

Yeah that game could be massive in terms of swaying fans in one direction.

To be honest mate we could have a weeks extra rest and we'd still make life incredibly difficult for ourselves if we're intent on just sitting back. I just want to see us take the game to teams, impose ourselves with the quality we have. We have so much in our arsenal (excuse the wording) yet we don't give teams enough to fear in our play.

Simply have to see more than just counter attacking on Tuesday.

You really think we're gonna win stuff playing how we do under Mourinho?
We haven't won anything playing the other way ... We could play this game all night. All I remember when we played the pretty football was the feint praise combined with the narrative that we wouldn't be anything unless we won something ... I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

But the other way was great to watch and we came damn close to winning the CL. Now we're not even going to be in that competition.

We came damn close to winning the Champions league? By playing Wimbledon '88 style in the semi ... We then decided not to turn up in the final. Bit of luck as well ... Don't rewrite history to make a point.
