Oh I see you've been backtracking...I suppose you should feel stupid for the awful thread bump post.

I think I phrased myself poorly to be honest. Still don't quite know what your problem with me is, but it doesn't matter. We're on the same side. We want this club to succeed - it's been a long time coming. I don't think it's unreasonable to discuss whether we need a Jose type figure for that compared to a young, hungry coach like has sadly worked at Arsenal, although on balance I'd say that we do at this moment in time.

Let's remember the positives too. If we can win them as we should, three extra Spurs games to watch! After months being deprived of the opportunity I struggle to be sad about that, whoever the opposition is - especially if we can balance it well and succeed in the league matches too.

While I can’t answer for Gb160, you just seemed to have lurched from one extreme to the other in a matter of minutes, from wanting Mourinho’s head and Kane is leaving to ultra positive, clapping happier than anyone else. Think that’s what’s thrown everyone mate.

Like I said, I didn't get my thoughts across very well! I've edited for clarity :) I certainly don't want Mourinho's head (I'd be really disappointed if he somehow did go right now - last thing we need!), nor do I want/expect Kane to go (although in the unlikely event we're still where we are now in a couple of years time I honestly wouldn't resent him if he did - I don't think that makes me a bad fan).

We now shall see angry old spurs men moaning about someone else getting a trophy.
Will we? I don't see the point to be honest. I'd rather focus on our own achievements and hope it's us lifting it next year! If I'm honest, if it's not us winning it I don't much care who is. Certainly little to do with Mourinho in any case.

I'm confused.

But I'm sorry the club has made you the state you are now.
I swear some people on here have more of an issue with their fellow fans than they ever do with the opposition.... Fair play if you want Jose gone, but I want to win trophies and I think he can deliver - that does not make me a state.

To be honest I also find it weird that only 9.3% outright disapproved of his appointment, he's undoubtedly improved us since then (and hopefully will do so even further!), and yet defending him and being optimistic means you've "got issues" etc. A very vocal minority perhaps? Because I honestly think most still wanna get behind the manager and the team.

The ‘issues’ were from when you first bumped the thread, which I know you’ve said was worded badly, but it was the absolute polar opposite of the later posts you’ve been making mate. People were posting about what they read and saw in your posts, and the massive shift in opinions so quickly.
Honestly might just be worth leaving this one for now though, we all have a bit of a ‘mare sometimes when we’re annoyed, you’ve calmed down now and obviously positive about the future of Spurs under Mourinho ?

Am I being over confident or arrogant for thinking these qualifiers will be easy and not much more than pre season training ?
From what I have seen of Rangers etc the early qualifiers are relatively easy and if we dont get thru then we need to worry for next season .
But from what I have heard from Jose he will take this competition seriously and will not muck about with weakened teams he wants this and it is the attitude that has been lacking for many years and many spurs managers who have all consistently played weakened teams .

Just thinking in another way. I think I would be extremely depressed if we dropped out the europa league because of this fa cup final (thank to both Chelsea and Taylor).

Full credit to Jose and the team's performance after the lockdown for preventing this disaster happen (by achieving 6th).

Well clearly not, because people are still Disagreeing etc with what are very reasonable posts now. No skin off my back, I just find it bizarre.

You make a very good point. I’m gutted they’ve somehow managed to nick yet another fucking trophy, but I’d be as sick as a parrot if we’d finished 7th and that win also denied us Europa League Football next season.

Small mercies and all that but fuck that lot down the road. Let’s win the EL next season and splash around in the salty tears of our rivals as they Watch us finally buck the 12 year baron period without a trophy.

I can’t speak for the people giving you disagrees now because you’re right, the posts are a lot more positive/balanced.
But the post you quoted about issues was definitely in relation to what I said in my last post mate.

I take it you're not a Jose fan then! Come on, he's not Man In A Raincoat, you don't have to drink hand sanitizer to think he'll eventually come good for us.

Someone was really burned by Arsenal winning the cup, came into the thread full of anger and bitterness. Then, all of a sudden, calm returned and it stopped dead in its tracks.

You can literally see it as you scroll down :D

Thought it better to clarify than to not, although it doesn't seem to have worked very well! I honestly couldn't care less about Arsenal winning rather than Chelsea - as long as we get back to winning things ourselves I'm happy :)

Fuck me, has someone just had some kind of breakdown in here? And then tried to edit it out!
