He hasn't been 'one of the best' for 10 years. One of the best managers ever in the game is a fraud. What an embarrassment of a statement.

He hasn't been 'one of the best' for 10 years.
Our whole squad seemed to have lost pace and stamina. Is it overtraining, is it that they're jaded? Something is seriously wrong. There's no spark or joy in this team anymore.
Also - most importantly - he's gone and he isn't coming back so whether or not we wanted Mourinho or not is academic. He's here, he's not going anywhere so people can try and be positive or gripe every time we lose but where is that going to get anyone?I think most people agree that overall Poch did a cracking job for us.
But we can't ignore the awful league form that last the whole of 2019 and it didn't appear that he was going to turn it around.
Need time for Mourinho and his team to implement their changes. Our whole squad seemed to have lost pace and stamina. Is it overtraining, is it that they're jaded? Something is seriously wrong. There's no spark or joy in this team anymore.
He's picking the same group of players that have been here for years. We're stale and need freshness and new ideas. That team last night offered none of thisNeed time for Mourinho and his team to implement their changes.

Have been thinking about it as well. If they are suffering from some form of burnout.
Jose seems to have his mind set on who our best players are, or were.
. I would like to see more rotation. Ndom, Foyth and GLC were playing well under Poch and even Sess put in a good shift but they are getting bugger all game time and we bought these guys for a reason.
Surely we see a bit of rotation against Burnley.
Maybe we will soon. Lucas' evidenced his inconsistency, Sissoko betrayed his unsuitability as a pivot/destroyer, and the more he plays there, the more obvious it is that Dele isn't really an attacking midfielder/engache, but more a second striker, like Teddy or Le Tissier were. Our main problem is painfully obvious to me. We don't have the players to operate in a pivot midfield. For that you need a top quality DM and a playmaker, but we don't have a decent DM with the required mobility. Before the game last night I said it would be won or lost in midfield, and when I saw Winks and Sissoko in our CM I knew we were in trouble. Even without Pogba they were all over us. It's been the same since Dembele left who had the physicality and ball retention required, and Dier and Wanyama have got to crap.
Why the fuck we're not seeing a CM3 setup just completely baffles me when we have so many players who would be much more comfortable in it. We could actually use Dier without exposing his lack of pace and athleticism for starters, and we have a wealth of players either side as well.
Our front line look shit because we can't hold onto the ball so we give them no service, and our backline look shaky because they're not getting any protection in front. Horrible to watch and has been for a very long time.
He came across well in the post match interview. His was a fair assessment; "We weren't even there".
The new manager bounce is done now, and we're back at the current state of the squad. By his own admission he hasn't really done any real work yet; Not with only 2 days between games. Now he has to get to work and start trying to sort out the solution to all this malaise. Whether that's psychological, tactical, or just finding the best set of XI... he has form for working this out.
There'll be plenty of matches like that one though, so we'll have to suck it up a bit this season.
We have seen some little rotation but I would suspect Mourinho is trying to settle things down with the same team of those players he knows and believes he can trust. No doubt he is loosing confidence in one or two and we will see changes but gradually. He cannot rock the boat too much until he is able to bring in the players he believes he needs.Jose seems to have his mind set on who our best players are, or were. He plays near enough to the same team each week. I would like to see more rotation. Ndom, Foyth and GLC were playing well under Poch and even Sess put in a good shift but they are getting bugger all game time and we bought these guys for a reason.
