not sure how it works over there but in the States blaming the players usually happens a few weeks before the coach is fired. its tolerated once in a while when accurate but its a regular occurrence with JM. I dont see other prem managers with poorer squads doing it. bad form as far as Im concerned.

He goes after we get spanked 5-0 in the cup final doesn’t he? Trigger won’t get pulled just yet but it’s close, he knows it. Look at him. He’s lashing out angrily, he knows it’s over.
I think he knows it’s getting serious pressure cooker time as he running out of ideas. He tried all sorts of defensive combinations and they’re all letting him down, he’s reacting to what he feels is a media agenda against him saying his teams don’t play good football etc etc but now we are front and centre of the Jose show to be quite honest everything our fellow fans at Man.U & Chelsea told us would happen is happening.

I actually dipped into the Chavski forum the other day to see what they were saying on their equivalent thread of ‘what the other fans and media are saying about us’ and as much as they hate our guts they’re even feeling sorry for us having hired Jose, they absolutely despise the guy and are saying that we made an absolutely monumental error of judgement in hiring such damaged goods.

If anyone thinks it's bad now just wait until the cup final that will be an embarrassing experience.
Nah. The surprising thing is that Spurs are actually going to win the final. Kane is seeing his life - or career, at least - flash before his eyes and is going to have one of his best ever games to drag the club over the line kicking and screaming. One goal and one assist in purely statistical terms but he'll be pivotal in almost every passage of play.

Mark this prediction down so I can boast about it after it happens.

It's an interesting one. I am not convinced we necessarily have a better chance of winning the final if we have Jose in charge.

Though Jose does seem to do quite well against Man City.

I am starting to think we should fire him now to give potential managers the chance to apply for the job knowing it is available in the summer.

As we saw with the Juande Ramos and Mourinho deals, if Levy has plans in mind to change it in summer, he wouldve started talks with whoever (hopefully JN)

It is often the kiss of death.

Keep it behind closed doors. Doing it in public doesn't help. It just comes across as a deflection tactic.

If we are going to lose that anyway and we are losing 2/3-0 at half time and are onto a hiding to nothing if it means getting rid of Jose I’d almost want us to get mauled 5-0 if it means Daniel pulls the trigger, I absolutely hate the feeling towards the club right now I’ve never known it so toxic and negative, as others have said I just want to enjoy supporting Spurs again, and before people say, it’s not just because of the pandemic is the Jose effect. The sooner she’s gone the better.

I really wonder why you're even asking this. Both are Spurs fans like we all are.
Both argued during the game he deserved more time / to be properly backed. I wonder whether they still have faith in that. Bit of an echo chamber here tonight (apart from when Afri Coys came in swinging)

I am sure he constantly has plans in mind. If the itk that Nagelsmann is interested is true then someone must have let him know we're potentially interested with the position available.

So maybe we'll keep Jose until the summer but I wouldn't be against firing him now.

Agree.

It’s funny because he answers questions saying ‘I don’t want to go in that direction’ or ‘you’re trying to get me to say x y z’ but that’s not actually always the case he could just answer the questions simply and say we win and lose as a team, we will analyse the game and do better next time... but he just can’t help himself but criticise, it’s just never ever a possibility that he just isn’t up to it anymore, it’s always the players fault.

Josè has not helped himself today. I don’t think it looks good. Be very surprised he is here end of season, regardless of whatever we do.

I always felt his answers were calculated and he knew exactly what he was doing. Now it feels more of headloss, everyone else's fault except mine.

dragon1 on COYS:
Jose repeatedly told Daniel the team would walk cl qualification in nov 19 when they were talking

Daniel then got him everything he wanted last summer with the exception of ings who was 50 million and we could not agree The inter defender we were ten mill apart but he still got 3 players he wanted from a squad he already led them to believe should be top 4

that we got beaten in uefa by that Serbian side and he is now throwing the players under the bus does not look good on his part

AND

Board think Jose post match comments regarding “ same coach different players “ to be very unhelpful and unnecessary

certain things I do not post as I do not want things getting out that may hurt harmony of the team but now the standard are onto it I can confirm Toby despises Jose and that was long before there latest rift
So he said he'd make it happen and has had two stabs at it. Has changed the squad massively. Has got in at least 3 players he really wanted. Has two world class attackers at his disposal and still hasn't come close.

Hes failing on every level and seen as he's thrown new players under the bus (Bale, Doherty, Rodon, Vini have all had it directly or indirectly), I really don't trust him to bring in more players and not do the same.

The thing is I just don't buy that the attitude of our players is that bad.

The likes of Kane, Son, Hojbjerg, Lloris and others show a great attitude. I don't believe our players attitudes is particularly worse than at any other club.

I know it's bad supporting the club right now but you can't want us to lose 5-0 even if it does end up like that.

Well 4th ain’t happening anyway so it’s cup final or bust and likely we will get torn a new one and that could be that but yea tonight was the first time I’ve really seen him react and the jouros get under his skin like they did towards the end of his man.u reign... writing isn’t yet on the wall but the pen is in hand and the lid is off.

Sorry to talk about them but look at Chelsea. Terry, Drogba, Lampard were the kinds of great attitude. But when it was going badly with AVB, they threw him under the bus to the media I believe.

Im still backing him at the end of the day imo Poch wore the players down to the ground with the double sessions and high pressing,

None of them look like the same anymore except Kane but he isnt a striker anymore either, he used to get behind defenders and Son who wasn't a starter till the end

Mourinho was brought in to change the mentality, if he can't do it, we will forever be the also rans.

IMO he has inherited the worse defence at spurs since Jol, Not one top player in the defence. Aldweireld has aged poorly

This is his first full season and I wouldn't sack him after one and last season he didn't really have time to asses the squad as it was broken up. Poch was fortunate that Sherwood failed and stirred things up

Mourinho has to pull the house down and then rebuild. I would at least give him time to rebuild.

If we don't see this through for better or worse. I fear we will become what arsenal are at the moment and at best be club that reaches top 4 and has no success.
