There is also a critical timing element here. If Poch were to be announced by Chelsea soon, given our tough run of games starting with Newcastle, Levy and the board would need to tie down Nagelsmann or whoever the preferred candidate is quicker than they might have planned otherwise the bile in the stadium will only get worse especially if performances and run of results in the next couple of weeks are poor.

Nagelsmann's cryptic recent quote is certainly intriguing and I hope it means good news for us- "To cancel something, you have to commit to something."

I guess he'd be interested in the outcome of the paratici case and what we are putting in place following that. Well Fabio has now gone and Scott Munn is in place so I assume we have a plan of some kind.

He'd be an idiot to join this shit show.
I think we need a real good man manager before we need a techical genius.

Today has tipped me more towards Slot to be honest. The worry is Nagelsman is just too good for us and although up for a challenge will understandably lose patience.

God its a mess

Let's hope we get him or someone of his calibre. We need someone who can take players and improve them. Who can take maybe less well known players who are hungry and willing to put in the hard yards.

Pochettinos biggest flaw was his unwavering loyalty to his players. Even when players needed to be dropped he stuck with them. It's the sole reason why I believe it's too early to bring him back. We still have too many players that played under him and more specifically Dier, Sanchez and Lloris (and Winks) who should be finding new teams with respect.
Every manager since Poch has used those players. Are they being loyal to those players for some bizarre reason?

Depends doesn't it.

A lot of coaches would love the idea of a blank canvas cause they can mould everything their way rather than have to get the best out of players they may not see as ideal.

But then that totally depends on the ownership and what they are prepared to do.
