South Korea’s star defender Kim Min-jae officially apologized Saturday to Son Heung-min, captain of the national football team, amid reports of alleged friction between the two.

“I was entirely wrong about Son. Son always makes such (Instagram) posts after a national football match but I misinterpreted his words (on his Instagram post) and acted irrationally,” Kim announced in a statement through his agency Orangeball, admitting to having "unfollowed" Son on Instagram.

There has to be something about Son though, he's such a nice person. Nobody is that nice! It has to weigh off somewhere to balance things out. It'll probably turn out he's head of an international Panda smuggling ring or something.

Not for me... hard enough getting them into the condom, let alone swallowing them!

Like bloody children these footballers sometimes.
It's nothing new though is it? Team mates fall out all the time and have done since year dot.

Lets be honest if it wasn't for some halfwit journalist trawling through all these players social media accounts to find stories that aren't really newsworthy we wouldn't even have heard about it and KMJ wouldn't have needed to make a public statement.

Hopefully did us a favour though as he might have carried a grudge and I'd love us to sign him.

Yeah we'll be rejoicing up and down the high road that this was brought to our attention for sure.

Interpersonal comms in Korea are really fkin complicated. After 4 years there I was still thrown. Simplistically Son is the senior, a captain and record breaker, Kim has not shown the required respect and had to apologise. There's one thing I'd love Son to do before he eventually leaves- lead our team to bow to all four sides of the ground before heading down the tunnel. Win, lose or draw.

The whole grown men following and unfollowing on social media to show their disgust is hilarious. And people get really upset about being unfriended etc. it’s all a bit embarrassing.
